A Typical Sign for a Bear Market is that it Overreacts to Bad News and not all to Good News Posted: 18 Mar 2018 06:05 AM PDT Here is good chart which shows how long a bear market can last: correction to title (forgot the word "at"): "A Typical Sign for a Bear Market is that it Overreacts to Bad News and not at all to Good News" [link] [comments] |

Does anyone else trade crypto on behalf of others? Posted: 18 Mar 2018 05:41 AM PDT I've been investing on behalf of friends and family for years now but it's logistically quite difficult, I have to keep updating a spreadsheet every time I make a trade, and when they want to cash out I have to go through a bunch of cold wallets and start flipping to $ which is very time consuming. Does anyone else have this problem? Do you know of any tools or hacks that can help with managing crypto for multiple people? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 17 Mar 2018 07:10 PM PDT "Overall positive week in the blockchain space. We may be hitting a possible swing in bullish confidence due to some key tech advancements brought on buy the announcement of the Lightning Beta and institutions getting their toes wet in the space. I would be watching the G20 meetings the 19th and 20th of this month. Cryptocurrencies are said to be a topic planned for discussion during the talks. Typically with large news items, larger players sit on the sidelines. You can read the G20 PDF here if interested." [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Mar 2018 11:00 AM PDT The full Q&A from the 10th Creditors Meeting is available here: https://www.mtgox.com/img/pdf/20180317_qa.pdf (archived: https://archive.fo/ZeRWg) The Q&A report was published today, the 17th of March, so everything in it is new information and "fresh of the presses". The questions were, as far as I understand, submitted by creditors at the March 7th creditors meeting. For the English translation, you have to see page 5. Section II on "Sale of BTC and BCC" is the most interesting. Some interesting tidbits (emphasis mine):
In the above it sounds like the MtGox Trustee sold BTC and BCC using OTC to a single cryptocurrency exchange since he is claiming the sale was carried out "in a manner that would avoid affecting the market price". The MtGox Trustee is also denying any direct correlation between the transactions of BTC and BCC and any sale of the two assets.
And...discuss! [link] [comments] |
Trading strategy: what should I do? Posted: 18 Mar 2018 08:04 AM PDT I bought .2 Btc when @17000. I have been holding, but what if I feel the price will go down further. What I was thinking is to short it (maybe with margin), but this can have consequences for sure..So what are your thoughts? How would you trade? [link] [comments] |

If we go any lower, the weekly chart is about to get hideous. Posted: 17 Mar 2018 12:23 PM PDT If we close the week any lower, we're going to tumble further down the garbage avalanche until summer. If we rebound, we're still looking like shit for another month. But we continue along the long term support level. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 17 Mar 2018 02:00 PM PDT I know many of you traders and investors are on the sidelines right now (as am I), so I'm just wondering what other people's projected target prices are to buy back in for a long hold or a decent upside swing trade. Personally, I have been sticking to a plan I made and successfully trading this recent down swing. But I believe there is enormous buy support at 4.5-5k, so if we see those numbers I will probably accumulate some amount for a long-term hold. Where are you looking to jump back in? Is it a beginning of a short squeeze? Posted: 17 Mar 2018 11:14 AM PDT |
Just be aware that the last time Bitcoin bounced from 6k, Tether printer 60 million. Posted: 17 Mar 2018 07:42 PM PDT I would not expect another bounce unless they print again, and even if they do I do not expect any sustained momentum. They have currently gone their longest period since the Bitcoin bull market without printing - I would not be surprised if regulators are cracking down on them hard (not to mention half the market seems to be aware of what they are doing) and they watch their steps very carefully.
