Anyone know the hashrate of AMD rx 5600 (non-xt) version that was only was available on OEM? Posted: 07 Jan 2022 06:58 AM PST Can't seem to find any sources online for ethhash MH/s on the rx 5600 (non-xt) . Looks to have same memory bandwidth (VRAM: 6GB@336GB/s ), but fewer shading processors (2048 vs. xt's 2304). Anyone have any experience with mining with the non-xt version? [link] [comments]

Countries that do not allow crypto mining Posted: 06 Jan 2022 02:14 PM PST Recently several countries have declared crypto mining as illegal, In my country the police are seizing everyone's mining rigs, the question is how are they tracking miners? Is it through ISP, energy consumption or what are the other possibilities? [link] [comments]
What's the latest on difficult bomb timing? Posted: 06 Jan 2022 02:23 PM PST December EIP delayed difficulty bomb through June 2022, but Beiko expected ETH2 to be deployed prior to then. What's the latest? Does end of mining in June '22 still seem feasible? How many people think we will still be mining this time next year? I do for sure [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Jan 2022 02:46 PM PST Hey! I cannot get past 26Mh/s using the 470.05 driver with the latest version of NiceHash. I am also using a 4K HDMI plug. It is running inside a mobo that only supports GEN 2 PCIe. Can this be the problem? Any help is appreciated! SOLVED: PCIe v2 is not enough. You need at least x8 PCIe [link] [comments]

PSA: First Year Miners, File Your Taxes!!! Posted: 05 Jan 2022 02:30 PM PST One of the best thing you can do as a startup business is file your taxes year one. You can depreciate almost everything and offset some personal income if you are filing as a sole proprietorship. In most states you don't even need a DBA. Here's some things you can write off: -Rent (up to 300 sqft at $5 per sqft) -Power (if you don't keep track now, start to) -Computer parts! (Include every purchase including $5 power cables) -Gaming PC (50%+ needs to be spent mining) -Internet (estimate what % of your bill goes to mining) -Shipping -Bank/transaction fees (Looking at you Coinbase) -Intrest (did you put that new GPU on your credit card, right that shit off) -Meals (write off dem tendies) I am not a tax professional. However, I am a loan officer and if you were to come into my office as a mining business with no recorded tax history I'd show you the door. If you file a couple years even at a loss due to growing pains, I'd be much more likely to work with you. If you're mining one gpu as a hobby, write this stuff off! You can save a lot in tax dollars and offset that new gaming PC you want so badly. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Jan 2022 10:03 AM PST Hey all, decided see if I can build a cheap rig by fixing up some gpu's. The first 1080 ti came today and after a general clean and replacing the pads & paste its working fine. Only issue seems to being the hashrate, even with the OMG pill max I'm getting is 44mh at 220W 🤯! It seems to overclock quite high but at a sensible power limit I'm only getting around 39-40mh. I've never had a 1080 ti, haven't found a solve so is it possible its just bad silicone? [link] [comments]
