GPU Mining Newbie post for daily PC

    Newbie post for daily PC

    Posted: 08 Jan 2022 10:42 PM PST

    Hey guys,

I've read some posts and also the wiki guide links in here but am hitting an information overload since mining is new to me and figured I'd make a post asking for some help pointing me in the right direction.

My main goals : set up daily computer to mine when not in use

Gpu I have in my PC is AMD 6700xt, so I've heard teamredminer is a popular choice.

I am looking for any recommendations regarding the various things I need to set up/ download in able to run. ( coin wallet ? Miner ? Pool ? )

Any help would be much appreciated :)

    Hi.

Im using a B250H with a Celeron G3900 Processor to try and run a 7 GPU Rig on windows.

Having a problem though where its been running fine with 3 cards running but when I tried to connect a 4th it wont post and also all USB ports was not being delivered power (Mouse optical sensor light not lit, keyboard rgb not up)

    PSU: EVGA 1600 T2

    BIOS Ver: 1205

FYI Tried a 1 to four splitter but that didnt make any difference. Literally everything works fine as long as I disconnect a fourth card.

Any help/tips would be much appreciated!

Is Venlag a scam? Is RTX 3080 for $600 real?

    Posted: 08 Jan 2022 07:49 PM PST

I'm new to mining and hoping to buy a RTX 3080. I saw this one on venlag for $600 and was wondering if it's a scam or not. Does anyone have experience with the site? It seems to have a US address and phone number but am skeptical of the price.

    Free gpu/hashpower scheme

    Posted: 08 Jan 2022 04:47 PM PST

I want to start buying gpu's on ebay that are clearly mislabeled. When I get the card I'll plug it in and then on the last day of the return period I'll file a return claim on the basis that the item is not what I ordered and then wait until the very last day to return it. I will hopefully have the next gpu ready before I have to send the first back. Thoughts? Possible 1-3 weeks of "free" hash power.

Edit- To be clear, when I said "clearly mislabeled" I meant clearly intentionally mislabeled. Now please continue hating my obviously genius plan.
