Metaverse, Web 3.0, Communications, what could be the next big trend?

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 02:20 AM PST

Within the past few years, we've seen the rise of new trends. 2020 welcomed us with DeFi summer when we had a lot of new DeFi projects coming out from nowhere, most of them with similar goals, decentralizing the finance system.

Then a while later came NFTs, which basically started off as something you wouldn't take seriously. For some it was just ordinary arts with no use case attached, while for others it was all about building a brand. NFTs have been ruling since their emergence as they diversified into gaming, which gave rise to NFT gaming to earn trend.

What could be the next big thing? Personally, I've been following these trends for some time now, and I boldly say that the people who make the most money are the ones who follow the trend - with no emotions attached to the market of token or hype. Just ride the wave

The next big thing in this space will probably be the metaverse and web 3.0 projects. I think there could be a combined trend because some people right now are using the metaverse as an alternative to move away from their current lives, where everything is basically controlled by rules, centralization and old web 2.0. Communication is an important aspect of the metaverse and Sylo will be a great tool to usher us into the new world of decentralized web.

Sylo Network is well positioned to provide the robust, decentralised infrastructure that the Metaverse needs. Autonomous, p2p, e2ee, and run by the community for the community, the Sylo Network can ensure that the Metaverse is decentralised.

What Sylo offers the digital worlds of NFT projects in the Metaverse is the ability to chat, call, video call, buy, sell, send, receive, browse, play, and notify each other with the same UX and reliability that you could expect in a walled garden, except, out in the decentralised wild. With the Sylo app, you can send NFTs to another user with just one click, so grandma who likes the image of a bored ape can easily receive one as a birthday present without even knowing what blockchain is.

The Sylo SDK has the power to connect individuals, groups, communities, and worlds in a decentralised manner. It can be said as the place where the metaverse comes together.

Delegated staking is rolling out for SYLO in the coming weeks which is massive addition to the network and a great opportunity to earn while supporting the project via nodes.

Let me know your thoughts on the metaverse and how big of a trend you think it can become.

Why should or shouldn’t you invest in DAO tokens and stake?

    Posted: 26 Nov 2021 06:39 PM PST

Getting a haircut from my barber today and we started talking about crypto. He mentioned one of his clients became a millionaire as he'd been investing very early in crypto. He brought up DAOs and told me to check out Wonderland, Strongblock, and Klima. I think he bought $3000 worth of Klima and staking it gives him around $60-70 a day, compounding at around 39000% APY.

Now I have been a buy and hold investor in crypto, but this seems like it's a no brainer. Im trying to do my own research before investing a small amount in one of these, but 39000% just seems too good to be true.

Anyone have any experience with DAOs that can share their knowledge of why you should or should not invest and stake?

    Best stable coins atm?

    Posted: 27 Nov 2021 12:45 AM PST

Hi everyone, I am planning to cash out some gains into a stable coin.

I used to be happy with usdt but given the "recent" controversy about the project in terms of sketchy backing and sec investigations I am now looking for alternatives. BUSD seems to be used a lot but I also read that many are concerned about holding a centralised stable coin for several reasons.

What is the consensus here at the moment on which is the best stable coin to use based on:

    1) lowest transaction fees 2) using a reputable blockchain 3) reputable coin project/dev team 4) no SEC investigations pending

    Thank you all!

The metaverse is an absolute joke

    Posted: 25 Nov 2021 03:44 PM PST

Why on earth would I buy fake real estate, play shit card games or using crappy avatars in some potential virtual city?

I rather stick with playing fun and classic games like DOOM, Fallout,Halo, Fortnite, cod, Battlefield, animal crossing, mario the list is endless.

These metaverse coins have insane valuations and have nothing to show for it, with low active user counts and shit games to play.

Mana is a shitty browser game Axs is a boring card game

And most of these coins will take 5-10 years to finish why?

BECAUSE GAMING DEVELOPMENT CAN DECADES TO COMPLETE.

Just make your money and cash out before it dumps lol.

    What Is PMM? (DODO)

    Posted: 26 Nov 2021 07:48 PM PST

We provide over 100+ FREE crypto articles on our SubStack! :D (Link on our profile). This is not financial advice. TLDR:In terms of the DEX market, protocols are increasingly developing new functions for more efficient use of funds. Examples are Bancor V2, Uniswap V3 and DODO, which we have discussed. As for DODO, this protocol has provided a new solution with the ability to adapt to market fluctuations. However, with large fluctuations, the model is still likely to encounter the problems discussed.DeFi continues to be a place to test innovations, and today we are still making changes to make the financial system better. However, not all initiatives are successful and we need more time to do more experiments.

    General Conclusion

In the summer of DeFi 2020 decentralised exchanges exploded, especially AMM, with the success of Uniswap. Since then, a series of projects have copied Uniswap's model, but some have approached the problem in a different direction. Including DODO.Launched in mid-August 2020, DODO is an on-chain liquidity solution that combines AMM and oracle. This is also a factor that is more advanced than other DEXs like Uniswap.

    Dex Market

AMM-based DEXs have proven to be one of the highest impact DeFi innovations, allowing investors to seamlessly trade between cryptocurrencies in a completely decentralised and unattended manner, through pre-funded on-chain liquidity pools. How: simply deposit capital into these liquidity pools (become a market maker). Why: liquidity providers can earn a passive income on their capital through accrued trading fees, based on their contribution rate. The DEX has had unprecedented success over the past few months. Led by Uniswap, DEX volume surged to a record high of $83 billion in May, and the total locked-in value on all DEX platforms also reached the highest value of almost $28 billion.

    Problems

Despite such tremendous success, AMM DEXs still face their own limitations. Some inherent problems are:

    1. Impermanent loss (IL)
    2. Capital efficiency
    3. Slippage
    4. Gas costs
    5. Speed
    6. Multi-token exposure
    7. Front-running
    8. Back-running

The most important risk is IL, which is quantified by the difference in portfolio value over time between providing liquidity to the DEX poolversusbuying and holding the underlying tokens.

IL = token in DEX — hodl token

It happens because AMM prices do not automatically adjust. When prices across the market change, arbitrageurs enter and profit at the expense of liquidity providers. So, the actual profit of LP in AMM pools is the balance between the accumulated fees from the trades and the impermanent loss caused by the arbitrage. During implementation, AMMs encountered capital inefficiencies, poor liquidity used, and exposure to multiple tokens. Since AMM allocates capital equally across the price range (0; +∞), only funds allocated close to the market price are effectively utilised with a significant portion of the funds available only when the valuation curve begins to fall and the head turns exponentially. As a result, AMMs require greater amounts of liquidity to accommodate the slippage on traditional order-to-order exchanges. Furthermore, AMM often requires the LP to deposit two or more tokens to provide liquidity, forcing exposure to additional assets.AMM is often referred to as "lazy liquidity" because of the uncontrollable price point offered to traders, unlike traditional market makers.

    Institutions investing in crypto

    Posted: 26 Nov 2021 08:44 AM PST

For years, many in the cryptocurrency industry have wondered when the institutions would arrive. With so much money moving into crypto, I can confidently say the time is now and the institutions have arrived. This is a significant turning point because this year has established a record of interest and investment into crypto from the institutions.

Let's take Aubit for example, which announced 400,000,000 Freeway Token Investment Worth US$3.2 Million By GreenBank Portfolio Company, a Canadian merchant bank listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange and quoted on OTCQB in the US and the Frankfurt Boerse. This clearly shows that Greenbank feels that crypto, and by implication the AuBit Freeway platform, has the potential to outperform.

In my opinion, AuBit is a next-generation digital asset management platform with some of the best annual percentage yields in the cryptocurrency space. Anyone can start accessing the Supercharger products with fixed APY and it's fully integrated with Metamask. This means you can easily buy tokens on the ETH and BSC networks.

Aubit launched the EU-Regulated Crypto Brokerage accounts where users can safely invest their cryptos and fiats up to 8-16% annually paid daily and guess what? No I can touch your money which makes it perfectly safe. Their US Dashboard just went live and users can now see their FWT within their account, Supercharger purchases and rewards.

Invest while you can, but remember to enjoy life while achieving your goals, because we never know what the future brings. Life is unpredictable!

Secret Network Implements Inter-Blockchain-Communication Integration With The Cosmos

    Posted: 26 Nov 2021 07:47 AM PST

Secret Network has without doubt become a place for the development and implementation of initiatives with great potential. The most recent is the Inter-Blockchain-Communication (IBC) integration between Secret Network and the Cosmos ecosystem of blockchains. The integration itself was carried out by Secret Labs.

The IBC integration means that Secret Network has bridged with the Cosmos ecosystem, and this has mutual advantages for Secret Network and the other blockchains within Cosmos. One advantage is that Secret Network has given other Cosmos blockchains access to privacy. Another advantage is that Secret Network can now scale and interoperate with the Cosmos.

IBC integration also means that the multi-chain future has arrived on Secret Network. You can now do a transaction on Secret Network to send SCRT and pay the gas fees in ATOM, meaning that the IBC gang can now pay transaction fees in their native tokens to enjoy privacy on Secret Network. Tokens such as ATOM, LUNA, UST, OSMO are part of the IBC gang.

With IBC integration, SCRT is now available to swap on osmosis zone. This allows SCRT holders to easily gain exposure to other Cosmos tokens like ATOM, OSMO, LUNA & CRO while providing a simple new way to obtain SCRT.
