Posted: 28 Sep 2021 04:13 PM PDT I know most of us know about market cap, supply and tokenomics etc, but most of the beginners don't. If someone asks you about ADA reaching $1000 you should calmly make them understand about the market cap. Making fun of the noobs results in them being defensive about their position. This also makes us look toxic. We all should encourage them to research more. This will create a friendly environment and we won't be known as toxic crypto bros. Remember the goal of this community should be to get as many people on board with us so everyone can benefit from this incredible space. [link] [comments]
El Salvador has started mining Bitcoin using the renewable energy from Volcanoes Posted: 28 Sep 2021 07:09 PM PDT A government mining Bitcoin with clean volcanic energy. Am I dreaming? It's incredible how ahead of everyone else President Bukele is. El Salvador is at a massive advantage as Bitcoin spreads across the world at an exponential pace. Most politicians are all talk and no action. So, pleasantly surprised. The rest of the world will understand the importance of this. The video of Bitcoin mining with volcanic energy was posted by president Nayib Bukele on Twitter. Here is the link: https://twitter.com/nayibbukele/status/1442949756993490945?s=09 El Salvador moving towards being Richest country in the world. More adoptions are likely going to follow in future. The #1 reason we won’t be entering a bear market Posted: 28 Sep 2021 08:55 PM PDT Okay so I see speculation that we're entering a bear market, but I also see "analysts" saying we're still in the Bull. - Here's my analysis, it's probably the best one yet. Here's why we're not entering a bear market. - Winter is coming, yes. Winter will be here shortly, therefore it's bullish. Why is it bullish? Bears hibernate during winter. - Therefore they cannot short anything during hibernation, therefore only bulls can long and pump everything. - Therefore, winter is going to be the most bullish time for us. Sometimes you need to take a step back from "golden crosses" and "death crosses" and just do some studies on nature bruh. [link] [comments]

What if the US Congress was replaced with a smart contract? Posted: 28 Sep 2021 11:08 PM PDT Think about it, every US citizen gets issued one VOTE token, and people can propose changes to governance to be voted on by the population. Obviousely we are decades away, but imagine a world where partisian bickering and pandering to an electorate doesn't erode the lives of the population. Is it possible a world could exist where politicians relinquesh control in the name of governance? We wouldn't even need congress to "protect" us from big bad banks because people would put money where it made sense for them. Instead of relying in investment managers to direct our funds through vehicles only viable because of dollars greasing the wheels with congress. The greatest Ponzi of all, the "money circle of life": poor > rich, rich > banks, banks > politicians, politicians > token "subsidies" to poor; upended into a codified governance protocol. I guess it's been a while since I posted, so 500 words is an issue. I probably should have shared a link to an article posted 400 times today... [link] [comments]
Assume the worst. What would you do if the market crashes? Posted: 28 Sep 2021 08:23 PM PDT For good reason, given recent news about government shutdown fears in the US and Evergrande/China banning crypto again, there is a lot of FUD about a massive market correction across assets classes and especially in the stock market. It's easy to say, "I'll DCA" if shit hits the fan. But would you? Assuming you have a retirement account or other accounts beyond crypto, would you confidently double down after a huge drawback to your net worth? Americans in 2008 and before then, during the dot com bubble, were shell shocked to see their portfolios crash over 50%, erasing the possibility of retirement for a lot of them. What would you do? Double down on your current investments? Try to catch something you've wanted on sale? Wait to see if the dip dips more? Call it quits and exit? It's worth considering what you'd do when the going really does get tough. [link] [comments]

Not having enough FIAT to invest in crypto feels bad Posted: 29 Sep 2021 03:17 AM PDT I do a work with a lot of responsibility but the people i work for are basically slavers and pay a misery. Now let's add, a girlfriend who lives in another city and unfortunately doesn't have a work so everytime i want to see her i have to spend 70-80 euros just for high speed train (one way, 140-160 for 2 tickets) + all other kind of expenses. At the end of the month i basically have nothing left to put in crypto, and this makes me feel bad becouse i know i'm not building my future like this. I know there's people in situations worst than mine, and i feel you. I personally try to save money as much as possible, i also sold everything i could sell that i don't use anymore to have that extra cash to invest. Every little amount we can afford to invest (and to lose, never forget this) is worth, i wish i had those 20k to invest like some of you, unfortunately i don't, so best i can do is build this slowly but steadily. Sorry for the rant, have a nice day [link] [comments]

If you go into crypto investments with the mindset of a 2 year minimum hold, you'll be better off. Posted: 28 Sep 2021 09:17 PM PDT Given the volatility of the crypto market, most know this isn't a get rich quick kind of thing. A lot of people say if you can't see your portfolio drop 50% without having a panic attack, crypto might not be for your best interests. Tell yourself each time you buy, that this is at least a minimum of a year hold. For one, in the US you'll pay less on taxes by letting your investment mature for a year. But, if you want to see real gains in your crypto investments, tell yourself a 2 year hold minimum before deciding on your next move. For two, you'll find that things are much less stressful when the market goes into a bear cycle. This is what I told myself for a while now. I wish I would of had this mindset from the beginning or someone telling me this. I may have invested differently. But we live and learn. Now that I've cemented this mindset I've been able to live with much less worry when we have dips or bear markets. I have a much easier time DCA'ing every week without worrying about where prices sit. I will say it's nice when you DCA at a lower average. But when you already have in your head that you aren't touching this money for 1-2 years, it takes a weight off your chest. Anyway, I just thought I'd share this for anyone having any sort of doubts or people questioning themselves on their investments. Good luck investing. [link] [comments]
These are the tops in this bull cycle Posted: 28 Sep 2021 06:48 PM PDT I have done every possible analysis, I have looked at all possibilities through TA and even some of the bs that comes with it to filter it out to bring you the tops of your favourite coins and it WILL disappoint most of you but make others happy especially alt coin holders. We are up for one big last BTC push with BTC dominance to hit 42.0% before a massive altcoin run that will surprise many. So here are the tops: Bitcoin = $69,420 Ethereum = $6,942 Cardano = $4.20 BNB = $694.20 XRP = $4.20 Solana = $242.06 Dot = $69.42 Some bad news Doge = already topped Shib = already topped Safemoon = 💀 So there you have it no need for any financial analysis or DYOR or DD or whatever. I have done it. [link] [comments]

I'm making a promise - no more low cap alts Posted: 29 Sep 2021 03:52 AM PDT I've been in crypto for about 5 years, and like all of us I'm always looking for the next moon shot ( turns out it was ETH and I was early enough to be rich if I'd bought enough, so little lesson there) In the past years I've bought (and lost money on):
And probably countless others There are some notable exceptions where I've made profit
With most alts, you need to either hold for a few weeks and sell the pump, or hold for years In all these cases I would have most likely been better off just buying BTC/ETH Now if you will excuse me, I will probably go buy some more moonshots [link] [comments]

Here’s how El Salvador’s Bitcoin experiment is playing out so far Posted: 28 Sep 2021 10:31 PM PDT After passing the new law, El Salvador confirmed that it would mine the cryptocurrency using geothermal energy from its volcanoes. President Bukele said the country is already designing a mining hub that will use "very cheap, 100% clean, 100% renewable" energy from volcanoes to power the operation. In a tweet, he said the country's engineers had dug a new well to provide around 95 MW of green energy, backed by natural volcanic resources. Google trends show that there has been an exponential rise in English language searches for 'El Salvador Real Estate' since the country announced that Bitcoin will be accepted as legal tender. Following the new laws, the government has attached incentives like no capital gains tax on Bitcoin and permanent residence for crypto entrepreneurs. The president also tweeted that the country will build a satellite infrastructure for its citizens in rural areas to connect to the internet and the Bitcoin network in places where connectivity is poor. El Salvador's Department of Labor and Social Welfare has clarified that it is not within its authority to determine whether wages can be paid in the cryptocurrency. Currently, the new law forces firms to accept Bitcoins when offered as payment for goods and services. The government is now debating whether Bitcoin should be used to pay employee salaries in the country since it would boost adoption. [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Sep 2021 01:44 AM PDT Whenever people see a small dip, they usually rush to buy the dip. But this is a mistake, which I've made many times. Almost always the dip dips further, so don't put all your money into one dip. Especially when the dip is still above your average buying price, because then you are just making your buying price higher. Just like you shouldn't buy a coin while it's pumping, you also shouldn't buy it while it's falling. The best time to buy is usually when it stabalizes or is just starting to break out. I've made both mistakes a lot of times and usually you'll get a better opportunity when you can be patient. Also, the fear and greed scale is a VERY good indicator of when to buy and sell, when it's around 20/extreme fear, it's usually a good time to buy, and when it goes above 70 you can slowly start taking some profits. This is what I've been doing and it's working really well :) [link] [comments] |
