I risked a lot of my savings to staking BTC and thankfully, it was worth it. Posted: 29 Sep 2021 12:09 AM PDT For a few years, I've been putting money into Bitcoin on a regular basis, nothing insane, just a few hundred dollars here and there. But lately, when I really went deep and recognized its true value, everything changed. Against everyone's advice from friends and family, co-workers,and common sense, I took out 40% of my savings and invested in staking BTC with various platforms. It's just not worth it to work for the rest of your life and receive barely enough for your daily NEEDS. And not to mention helping your family and things you WANT to buy. It's much easier to just dump alot into BTC (or even any crypto you are staking), sit back, and let BTC work for you...it might get flaky at times, but it's a lot better than working in an office 9-5 for the majority of your life, only to retire old at 65 with a pension that's been eaten up by inflation. Although of course, I'm not encouraging everyone to immediately quit your day job just because I received a lot from BTC. In fact don't ever do something like I did as well lol. Only stake what you can risk as this also needs time to grow as well. You need a lot of money for emergency funds, savings, stuff for your other investments like stocks, other crypto etc. And then after all that's done, you can do business or hell, even freelance. Anything to get out of toxic workplaces and politics. This would all be obvious hindsight in a decade, and it would be too late by then. Despite this, most people I've talked to and the ones who advised me say they're "too busy" to think about it properly. [link] [comments] | ||

WARNING: The CashFusion server is currently experiencing an anomaly Posted: 28 Sep 2021 11:09 AM PDT EDIT: Seems that the situation is not as worrisome as first believed. u/imaginary_username informs us in a comment below that:
"Original" post below: ___________________________________________________________________________
Over the last few days, CashFusion users have noticed a lot of fusions failing. Some have speculated that the CashFusion server may be experiencing a denial-of-service attack, i.e. a malicious actor may be making spurious requests to the server. Alone, a denial-of-service attack would probably only reduce the number of fusion transactions rather than result in any risk to user privacy. However, in the last few hours there have been a few anomalous transactions that may indicate a de-anonymization attack. Specifically, the number of inputs and outputs of recent CashFusion transactions has fallen way below normal. You can check this live at https://stats.cash/#/fusion In order for CashFusion to work, the average number of inputs and outputs should be roughly 60. A few recent transactions have had inputs and outputs in the single digits. The short-term average of inputs and outputs has not fallen this low since January 2021. I am working on packaging my statistical analysis better for laypeople to understand, but the bottom line is that this is very unusual and a cause for concern. Posted: 28 Sep 2021 06:26 AM PDT Background: I started to post a daily PSA in the Monero trading sub after collecting circumstantial evidence within the community for 9 months. The observations made regarding XMR should (at least to some degree) be applicable to other cryptocurrencies as well. Don't say you haven't been warned. Likelihood of the most important centralized exchanges (CEX) running fractional reserve schemes/scams:Extreme high
