| Posted: 02 Feb 2021 10:13 AM PST I've been hearing rumors circulate that another Pump n Dump might happen sometime within the next week for XRP. -Do not participate in PnD scams! -Pump and "holds" are the same as PnD's, no matter what people say!! -Don't let these "Get rich quick" scams lead you to belive that you'll leave with anything more than loses. -PnD'S IN CRYPTO ARE NOT THE SAME AS WHAT HAPPENED WITH GME!!! PnD groups will bait you in and lead you believe that's its free money, this is simply not true, someone will have to pay the tab. When they say to "wait until XXXX to buy" they load up while the price is low, then sell off incrementally as the price climbs (if the price manages to do so) These random attacks say nothing about the coin itself. There's no rhyme or reason as to when they take place or why they pick the coins they do, it happens to coins across the board. The value of XRP will be recognized when it is given Regulatory Clarity by the SEC, which will help institutional adoption take place. Know what you hold!!! DYOR!!! HODL!!!!! I currently buy mine on Revolut, however I'd very much like to leave the Revolut service, mainly for political reasons. It'd also be nice to have all my buys on one platform. I'm not too keen on Binance, no particular problems with it, I just prefer a smoother interface (vanity). | Claiming Spark Flare without XUMM and Ledger Posted: 02 Feb 2021 10:46 AM PST I want to claim FLR and all guides I have seen so far assume you have a Ledger device or iOS/Android phone and are happy (NOT ME - I'm over supporting the big corporations anymore hence my interest in crypto) and able to use Google/Apple App Stores. Here is the alternative - costs 20 XRPs and is trustless (you don't need to install another app that does who knows what to your phone). The wallet that allows you to set message key is https://github.com/ripplerm/ripple-wallet with running implementation (no code changes in 4 years and still going strong and working properly, nice) https://ripplerm.github.io/ripple-wallet/ How do we do this trustlessly using 3rd party web site? That's why need the 20 XRP to set up a new address. Step by step guide: 1) Create a new ripple wallet and move your funds from the FLR airdrop elligible wallet to the new address 2) Create an ethereum wallet so you have your address and key when FLR goes live 3) Create MessageKey: take your ethereum address, strip the leading 0x and prepend 24 zeros that is 000000000000000000000000 4) Go to https://ripplerm.github.io/ripple-wallet/ enter your old address and secret key (no accessible funds now) click "Edit Account Info" click MessageKey and input your MessageKey you created in step 3, click "Submit" 5) Go to xrpscan.com and verify your MessageKey is correct Hope this helps.
