Video playback with hardware acceleration is slow after mining? Posted: 13 Feb 2021 07:31 AM PST So I mine on my main computer during the night mostly. When I close the miner everything is fine except video playback, it is really choppy even at simple 720p and it's a slide show at higher resolutions. And I have to restart the computer to reset it. Games play fine after mining, everything is just fine except video playback. I just wonder if anyone experienced this? I use claymore miner and I have a rx 5700xt [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Feb 2021 07:28 AM PST Anyone know where to buy replacement screws for the backplate of the 3080fe? Guy who owned it before me fucked the screws up bad and 1 is missing so I'd rather replace them. [link] [comments]

Adding 3 gtx 1080 ti's to my one rig today what should the settings be ? Posted: 13 Feb 2021 05:14 AM PST Currently was going to build a 30xx rig but with shortages and what not. None of my orders are coming in. Currently the rig has. 3070 and a 3080 in it. Adding 3 msi gtx 1080 ti 11gb cards. Running hive os right now with phoenix Miner on eth 2miners pool Any settings for these cards ? I see so many different versions and options my head is spinning. Then the talk about ETHPill also has my sideways. Any input or advice would be great. Thank you [link] [comments]
This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) Posted: 13 Feb 2021 06:39 AM PST Getting this error on the 6th GPU on my rig. Disabled all SATA and Audio controllers, but the board won't even boot with the 6th GPU installed I can get it to how using a hot swap. Anyone have ideas on how to fix this? [link] [comments]

What factors decides how much bitcoin I make in x time? Posted: 13 Feb 2021 02:22 AM PST I just got into mining, yesterday. I discovered that my 3080 can be really useful when I'm not using it for anything. But I am a little confused on what factors decide the amount of bitcoin I get in x time. Right now, my card can give me about 10 dollars a day. But what if the bitcoin price was 20.000 USD instead? Would I make half the amount of money? Or would I produce twice the amount of bitcoins? Posted: 13 Feb 2021 06:06 AM PST Hi everyone, Full disclaimer: I am clearly a newbie so I ask for your patience. I have been going back and forth with my mining rig for the past 3 weeks. Spending a lot of time on it exercising problem solving at 110 %, but I have reached a limit. I was trying to set up my fourth RTX 3070 FTW3 (I was able to run 3 of them with an AMD 5700 XT) when my PSU (Rosewill HIVE 1000S), along with MoBo (TB250 - BTC PRO), crashed all together. I used a PCIe 6+2 pin adapter to the CPU, but when I tried to power that up it did not. Since then, the MoBo is not recognizing any of the GPU's, except the Internal Graphic card (which I have disabled and now I can't even see what's going on inside). I tried: - plugging the GPU's in different slots, even without the riser with no success. - starting without a graphic card, I was able to get inside BIOS (before disabling the internal graphic card) and updated HIVE OS from the stable version to the beta one, without any changes. - different PSU's with the same results. - plugging different GPU's with the same results. Data: - I am using HIVE OS. - Power is running through MoBo. - USB is being recognize by MoBo and functioning properly. - Ethernet is going through it normally. - GPU's get power, lights are up and fans are running. I was able to "play" with the fan's velocity on BIOS settings (that means they are physically detected, but there is something with the software). - Processor's fan is running without issues. SPECS: - Processor: Intel BX80677G3930 7th Gen Celeron. - Ram: Samsung DDR4 8GB 2666MHZ (SODIMM w/ adapter). - Motherboard: TB250-BTC PRO. - Power Supply: Rosewill HIVE1000S. - Graphic cards: NVIDIA RTX 3070 FTW3 x4 / AMD 5700 XT x1. - USB: TOSHIBA 1 TB, Hard drive. I am literally losing my mind. It was fun as a project, but now it feels like a burden. It is so frustrating to see the progress of making a few of the GPU's work and then everything falls apart for an update or adding another GPU. Any help will be HIGHLY appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time and patience !!! UPDATE #1: - I was able to reboot BIOS (removing batery and clearing CMOS). I am getting into HIVE OS, upgrading last NVIDIA and HIVE OS drivers. Still no GPU's on screen. [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Feb 2021 06:06 AM PST Hi fellows, Sorry for the noob question, just got a 1000w hp hotplug server psu, already soldered a switch and pico psu to it, but I just realized the ground the the psu's metal cover are in contact, should I remove/isolate the ground from the psu's housing or not needed? Someone Help The Idiot - A noobs foray into OC Posted: 13 Feb 2021 05:36 AM PST So I excitedly hooked up my new 3080 and got it rolling before work. I looked at my remote monitoring and my rig is offline. Thanks to a very helpful child with facetime, we determined I popped the circuit breaker on my rig. Not too surprised as this EVGA 3080 is pulling ~350 w. I need to cut the power use. I've been reading up on the OC process and have a good idea of what I'm doing, but I'm here to ask the experts before making a stupid mistake. My rig is using risers on all cards. All the OC guides I've read so far say to watch for artifacts/freezing while OC'ing. Can't really do that with no video out, right? So I should just start making small tweaks and watch temps and look for errors/bad shares on the miner program or an all out crash? If anyone has a better guide for my situation, I'd be very appreciative. Thanks for your help! [link] [comments]
mining Ethereum on a tesla k80 Posted: 13 Feb 2021 04:43 AM PST Does anyone know what the hashrate of a tesla k80 would be? There is one for sale near me and I'm wondering if it would be worth buying. [link] [comments]

Where do you buy thermal pads? Posted: 13 Feb 2021 07:26 AM PST I padded my 5700xt, but I'm swapping it out for a 1080ti I'm getting so I can use Cuda for some ML stuff. I'll probably have to repad that 1080ti too, but the pads I got last time were over 10 bucks just for one card, which seems steep to me. Here the link to the ones I bought, where are you guys getting yours? I'd like to just get some in bulk and not worry about it ever again. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086CFF6Y1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 [link] [comments]

Integrated graphics - prevent GPU from disabling it Posted: 13 Feb 2021 07:00 AM PST Hey mining wizards, I was hoping to keep my integrated graphics running through the vga while the GPUs are mining away. Most MoBos turn off integrated graphics when they detect a GPU and you need to enable it in Bios to stay on. What I'm struggling with is what is that function called? Searching through my MoBo bios I am not seeing anything graphics related and so my assumption is that leaving that integrated graphics on isn't possible on my MoBo with my Bios version. So two Qs: 1.) If you did leave your integrated graphics on, what is the setting you looked for? 2.) if a Bios doesn't have that option, has anyone heard of a way to use a bios add on or to short a pin to override this function? End of the day I can still teamviewer into the rig to work on it, it would just be nice to not need to. [link] [comments]
Is this GPU crash issue on RTX 3080 Posted: 13 Feb 2021 06:59 AM PST Hi, I got a new colourful advanced 3080 card and started mining in it. after few hours, Randomly the display suddenly goes black. The music stops the mining stops. still, all the parts in CPU are running. The only way out is to restart the system. Why is this happening is this a problem with my GPU. I tried different monitors and even tried getting in through any desk unattended access. but only black screen Mining settings is 75 power and memory clock 1200 [link] [comments]
