Posted: 16 Dec 2020 07:50 AM PST So I'm going to build a small mining rig, more for the hobby, but might grow to more. Currently looking at buying 2-3 RX 580s or 1 RX 5700xt. In my area I can get the 5700xt for 300-350, and the 580 for 130-150. Getting two 580s would make about the same hashrate but draw a decent amount more power. Any suggestions? Experience? Will probably mine on windows just for the simplicity/experience with it. Thanks! [link] [comments]
MSI Gaming X Trio 3080 Hashrate, OC and Total GPU Power (normalized) % Posted: 15 Dec 2020 05:21 PM PST Noob here that's just getting into mining. Currently mining with my gaming pc while in the process of a procuring (6) 3060ti for my first rig. I've watch countless videos on YT and read numerous Reddit posts about OC 3080 pushing 95+ hashrate on daggerhash. My current OC is steady at around 88-89 and can't squeeze any additional hash no matter what I do. When I increase PL and mem with 0 core my hashrate drops to around 84. Anytime I try +1000 mem I'll crash. Here's a photo of my current OC to get 88-89 hash, HWinfo64 and my Nzxt CAM monitoring software. My PSU is an e850. 1) Is there an issue that HWinfo64 is showing 101.7% for my total GPU Power (normalized) [% of TDP] 2) I've noticed my gpu clock won't go higher than 1000 even at 0 core. Is this normal? I'm currently using NiceHash so technically not "mining" 3) did I just get a bad egg with my gpu? I appreciate any tips, tricks or recommendations! [link] [comments]
