35% of all US dollars in existence have been printed in 10 months.

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 08:52 AM PST

35% of all US dollars in existence have been printed in 10 months.

    Graph

The fact that US is printing alot of money is not solving the issue of common people. Those money going directly to rich people because 40% of Americans don't have $400 in the bank for emergency expenses: Federal Reserve - https://abcnews.go.com/US/10-americans-struggle-cover-400-emergency-expense-federal/story?id=63253846

Those printing machines just keep printing money and keep creating wealth difference between rich and poor. They will make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

Do we really need fiat in long run with unlimited supply as its value will keep decreasing over time? I think No that's why Satoshi created Bitcoin. He was Visionary and Revolutionary no doubts.

Pick up another .5 BTC or diversify my portfolio with ETH?

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 08:01 PM PST

Being undecided between buying an additional .5 BTC or diversifying my portfolio with Ethereum is a tough decision to make.

    I currently hold:

    • BTC
    • ADA
    • ALGO
    • XRP

Everything in my portfolio I plan to hold long term and ideally never convert the BTC back to fiat.

I'm not opposed to buying more bitcoin, however, if I can diversify my portfolio with this last bit of fiat, I would like to do so.

Is buying 15+ ETH at their current market value ($583 USD) a good idea? Or just stack another half a BTC coin? Something else altogether?

By the way, I am really excited about this post because I just reached the karma required to post in this community. Thank you all for your feedback! I appreciate any suggestions and advice, as they will help guide my own research.

Moon Proposal to create some use case of Moon

Moon Proposal to create some use case of Moon

Right now moon value is $0.014 and it gonna dump more after the next distribution like r/fortnite bricks because there is no current use case of moons and there is no news of Mainnet even so some major exchanges will list it.

I wanna suggest 2 use case of moons but not sure it's kinda possible for Reddit or this sub so please guide me u/jwinterm u/LargeSnorlax u/SamsungGalaxyPlayer

    1. r/CryptoCurrency promotional banners should only be purchasable with moons and those moons should lock after purchasing it for 2030-35 when all 250 million moons will be distributed to the community they will get unlock for further distribution. I know Reddit is earning from this promotion so why they should accept it but thinking they also get a 50% share in every distribution and there will be a hike in Moon price if this will be implemented. example - Around 10k moons per day for promotion will be locked it will be 300k moons per month.

    Promotional Banner

    1. r/CryptoCurrency special membership should only be given in moons and those moons should also be locked for 2030-35. But right now special membership price is 1000 moon/month which is $14, if Reddit can lower it down to 200-300 moon/month everyone will be happy to have it like r/ethtrader they have fees of 200 donuts/month. Even it will be more convenient to purchase the membership because people don't like to give personal details for purchasing a membership through the card.

I am not sure they are a good idea or not so I will like to hear from everyone.

TLDR: Only moons should be used to promote and purchase special membership in this sub

FCA deadline - Why isn't Coinbase registered? so crypto trading & storing will be stopping on Coinbase January 10th for UK customers?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2020 02:24 AM PST

Coinbase isn't on this list and the deadline was December 15th. Binance isn't either. So are the top crypto exchanges ceasing trading & storage for all UK customers next month?

"Firms that did not submit an application by 15 December 2020 will not be eligible for the temporary registration regime. They will need to return cryptoassets to customers and stop trading by 10 January 2021. Firms that do not stop trading by that date are at risk of being subject to the FCA's criminal and civil enforcement powers."

Most user friendly way to gift Crypto?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2020 02:26 AM PST

I have friends and family asking me about crypto whenever it gets a lot of attention in the media, and many of them would like to dip their toes in but after I explain the process, it's easy to get put off.

This Christmas I'd like to gift some people small amounts to get them started but I can't really think of the best way. I could make them paper wallets but then they'd have no idea how to ever take them off.

Has anyone found a good way to be able to gift crypto so that the non-technical people who receive it can manage it fairly easily? or is a paper wallet the way to go?

    Thanks!

How does the value of non-US fiat currencies affect the buying power of those currencies in bitcoin or other cryptos?

    Posted: 16 Dec 2020 01:53 AM PST

For example, GBP has risen recently vs USD (GBP/USD increase). Does this mean in a sterling denominated account, GBP buyers of bitcoin will get more for their money than they would have done before the increase of GBP/USD, assuming the price of BTC stayed the same?

How is bitcoin priced against all fiat currencies? Do I buy USD with my GBP and then buy BTC?
