    Does anyone know someone who has been fined by the IRS for not reporting crypto earnings and/or paying tax?

    I've always payed the correct taxes for my earnings but have lots of friends and acquaintances that don't and have had no problems. Is this still a grey area for enforcement, or is there more happening?

    I know that starting last year people are required to answer if they own cryptocurrency and next year they are updating the question to cover trading and acquiring crypto.

    I'm curious if there is going to be a massive wave of enforcement or if it's already happening. I suppose people could also all be paying the correct taxes, but I'm skeptical of that.

    SCAM ALERT: Centric Foundation CNR/CNS

    Reddit, this is my only post to this sub and I've been a lurker for 2+ years.

    The reason for this post is to get this out into the cryptocommunity and hope the current investors of CNR/CNS see this, as sadly the Discord and Telegram are heavily moderated and immediately delete and block posts that bring up these points.

    First lets start with the origins of Centric, as they claim to be from Jan 2018.

    What the new roadmap on the website fails to tell you is that Centric started as UPDC, UpStake token, which is basically just CNR, an untradeable centralised token that you could only buy direct from their website and 'stake' with them. Not dissimilar to Bitconnect.

    After the failure (or success) of UPDC, they re-branded to Centric Foundation with a new CEO Gabriella Davis.

    They then airdropped all previous UPDC holders their shiny new token CNR, but they still had the problem of how they are able to back up CNRs hourly rise and draw in new potential investors.

    Somewhere along the line they managed to come up with this:

    Create a second token (CNS) and peg it to $1 to the first (CNR). With CNR being untradable and only available through CNS, now they can magically claim that CNR always goes up in value.

    With this little move and the rebrand, they are now able to get listed onto legitimate exchanges, and I for one am really disappointed that Bittrex listed and even shilled them on their Twitter. This is 2020 not 2017/18.

    Sadly this suckered in new investors (mainly newbies, pump chasers like myself, and poor people in 3rd world countries who sadly fall for the foundation claims of guaranteed hourly interest rates, hence the Philippines SEC warning).

    Even though the Centric Foundation has a bucketload of CNR to convert and sell to CNS to raise funds, they even had the nerve to create a one-off Centric Bond to take more free money from newbies or the gullible to pay for their exchange listing fees!

    Going back to the UPDC CEO Logan Schauer, a little googling finds a gofundme page that claims he was in a tragic accident, when on a business trip to Thailand with his then girlfriend... Gabriella Davis!

    There are dodgy actors in the Telegram and Discords, one even has a Youtube channel that pretty much exclusively shills Centric back to even its UPDC days. She is only a mod, who knows what level of collusion there is going on behind the scenes.

    TL:DR; This whole thing smells incredibly fishy. Make of it what you will, but this has all the string indicators of a scam. I implore you to DYOR and dig further and make your own decisions but I really just think this should just be put out there to help shine a light on the underhandedness of the Centric Foundation.
