Question about the Ripple app and XRP app on Ledger Live/Leger Nano S Posted: 23 Sep 2018 12:06 PM PDT Updated my Ledger Live today and dust off my Nano, and I noticed that there is an app called XRP alongside Ripple. When I installed XRP onto my Nano S, I see that it has a different address than my Ripple App. I understand that Ledger might eventually replace the Ripple app with the XRP app. Should I move my XRP's from my Ripple app to the XRP app? EDIT: I have both the Ripple and XRP apps running on my Nano at the moment, I don't know if I uninstall both, then reinstall the new XRP app, I would get my old address and balance show up on the new XRP app. [link] [comments]
Coinbase has to add xrp sooner rather than later. Time is running out for them Posted: 23 Sep 2018 06:14 PM PDT I know all the purists will say who needs coinbase ? Or shitbase or whatever you want to call it. At the end of the day they are a for profit company and if they ever want to go public they will need the extra volume/profits. Right now they just missed out on huge profits with the amount of xrp trading. I only say this because there platform is very user friendly and the mobile app is the best. They wanted decentralization they got it. They are running out of time because their competition is heating up and if there was a better solution ill jump ship in a heartbeat. I'm curious on your thoughts if you think it even matters ?? [link] [comments]
Korean people could buy XRP Tomorrow? Naver Trends bigger than December 2017 Posted: 23 Sep 2018 06:33 AM PDT I saw this trends from the google from Korea : A huge spike in searches in the Naver search engine. With what I understood was that tomorrow all the korean people can use fiat in bithumb. Also they have the chuseok holiday, which all korean's have from 23-25 september. What do you think? Can this give a big spike in ripple volume tomorrow? [link] [comments]
From a Ripple to a Tidal Wave: Collaboration With PNC Leads to XRP Surge Posted: 23 Sep 2018 08:07 AM PDT In another major milestone for cryptocurrency adoption, United States bank PNC will begin using RippleNet to process international payments for its clients. Ripple made the announcement on Sept. 19, stating that PNC's Treasury Management unit will be using its xCurrent software solution to expedite cross-border transactions for the bank's U.S. commercial clients. http://www.cryptonic.tech/2018/09/from-ripple-to-tidal-wave-collaboration.html [link] [comments]

Scooter Braun bullish on XRP and Ripple Posted: 23 Sep 2018 05:41 AM PDT Scooter (with almost 4 million followers on twitter) has lately been bullish and fighting some FUD on twitter: https://twitter.com/scooterbraun/status/1043224800305397761 https://twitter.com/scooterbraun/status/1043609034413101057 https://twitter.com/scooterbraun/status/1043609323241275392 For people that don't know. Scooter received support by Ripple's Xpring program to use XRP to improve artists ability to monetize and manage their content: https://ripple.com/insights/welcome-to-xpring/ I believe this could be huge in the future and there is probably tons of more stuff about Xpring that we don't know about. Coil working with YouTube, payments and tips with XRP Posted: 23 Sep 2018 01:41 AM PDT We knew Coil was working with Wikipedia and Twitch, but YouTube as well. https://www.ccn.com/content-creators-on-youtube-twitch-and-wikipedia-can-now-accept-ripple-xrp/ This is great news and I anticipate will only see more companies added to the Coil/XRP family. Excited to see real World implementation and additional use cases for Ripple technology using XRP. Which other companies do you see opportunity? [link] [comments]
If you haven't already, at what point are you going to buy in? Posted: 23 Sep 2018 02:31 PM PDT I know a lot of people are waiting for a particular price point before they make the leap and buy their first XRP or indeed just more in general. My question is what is that price and what makes that price right for you? [link] [comments]
Recent Rally Xrapid Tests-(Maybe yes, maybe not) Posted: 23 Sep 2018 04:09 PM PDT Just thought I'd put this out there as been seeing a lot of comments and posts that the recent rally was from Xrapid testing and the wonder of where the volume was coming from. 'MAYBE' it did have something to do with the testing, but the exchanges that Ripple said are there preferred ones to use for USD, Mexican Peso and Philippine Peso payments using XRP in those corridors are Bittrex, Bitso and Coins.ph. These exchanges were way down in the volume compared to the likes of Bitfinex (USD), Upbit (KRW), Bitbank (JPY) and Binance which were in the range of 300 and 500 million each. Where's this volume coming from? 'MAYBE' they've also been signed as preferred exchanges though which would then confirm people's thoughts of where all the volume was coming from, not traders but from Xrapid testing. Bitfinex I thought is unlikely as there is already Bittrex for the USD corridor and there may be an agreement between them and Ripple on a timeframe of not endorsing another exchange for USD. Bittrex would want there percentage from the fees wouldn't they. 'MAYBE'? Upbit and Bitbank are more likely as its opening up new corridors for XRP payments in Korea and Japan. 'MAYBE' but wishful thinking for the time being. Buy the rumour? 'MAYBE'? So unless Ripple have also partnered with them that volume must've just been from a buildup of good news and breaking past a few sell walls which caused a domino effect until it stabilised at its current price. 'MAYBE' not? But 'MAYBE' the exchanges we should be keeping an eye on are the three Ripple have stated are there preferred exchanges in they corridors. If Xrapid is being used/stress tested or whatever surely it'll be these three exchanges where the volume will increase. Makes sense to me so surely with Xrapid tests or when it's fully live it'll be these corridors that are used first, they were first ones announced from Ripple. No expert but 'MAYBE'? 'MAYBE' this is Xrapid testing. 'MAYBE' just overdue good news that caused it. 'MAYBE' not, agree to disagree, it's all speculative. What we can all agree on is this price movement is well overdue. Ripple use case with Large Corporation/Business Posted: 23 Sep 2018 04:08 AM PDT Hi guys, I was just wondering whether any of the services offered by Ripple would have any direct use case with large corporations such as CocaCola dealing with international suppliers, clients and payments between offices. I understand that xVia is said to cover this however there doesn't seem to be a video or any detailed information outlining such use case. The only relatively in-depth information I could see was the SME demo video on YouTube. So would CocaCola for example just simply sit back and just wait to see if their bank adopts xRapid and allow that to happen or if they were a user of SAP or any other software would they just have to wait till SAP made a move with Ripple. Or could they use xVia/xCurrent to help with their business transactions with the attachment of invoices & information etc. On a side note too, would they have any use case for domestic transactions? I really appreciate any responses, thanks heaps guys! [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Sep 2018 07:01 AM PDT Hi I have a question regarding the Interledger protocol. I understand ripple net is a global network of financial institutions using the same technology, rules and governance. The Interledger protocol sounds the same? This may sound stupid and I apologies but I want to truly get my head around what the ILP is and how it fits in with ripple/XRP. Thank you [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Sep 2018 12:58 AM PDT Anyone know what happened to jungle incs channel🧐? Been a big fan and enjoy his content. Surprising his channels down considering the large increase in price. One would think there are many new xrp holders that need educating [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Sep 2018 03:34 PM PDT My understanding of XRapid is that it uses XRP to bridge Fiat between Banks across the globe almost instantlly Brad Garlinghouse stated that 1 bank will be using XRP by the end of the year. If only 1 bank is using it, how does this work when there is only 1 bank using XRapid and the rest using Swift still. Example Bank 1 that uses XRapid wants to send to Bank 2 that uses swift.
