LocalBitcoinCash Driving Bitcoin Cash Adoption In Venezuela Needs Your Help!

    Posted: 29 Jul 2018 03:10 AM PDT

We would like to thank Luis Rodriguez for inspiring us to make changes to the LocalBitcoinCash.org platform to help drive Bitcoin Cash adoption in Venezuela. This is his article that prompted us to invest more efforts towards this objective. https://www.yours.org/content/the-biggest-obstacle-to-the-massive-adoption-of-bitcoin-cash-in-venezu-f90938b79bff

We feel very strongly about what happened in Venezuela and we want to make exchanging Bitcoin Cash from/to Bolivars safely under escrow and easily, without having to meet (which can be extremely dangerous in Venezuela). Our platform allows them to even trade Bitcoin Cash into services or commodities such as food instead of Bolivars, under the safety of escrow on the platform.

With immediate effect, Bitcoin Cash deposits are credited immediately with 0-confirmations on LocalBitcoinCash. We have also reduced the minimum deposit/withdrawal amount to 20 cents, which is affordable even for minimum wage Venezuelans. We are also personally absorbing all the Bitcoin Cash fees so withdrawals are totally free as well.

However, we still feel that we are not doing enough. We are currently working with people on the ground in Venezuela to make Bitcoin Cash more viral but we need more help.

Despite all our efforts, I still feel what had been done is embarrassingly insufficient on that front. I appeal to the Bitcoin Cash community to work together to help kickstart a Bitcoin Cash economy in Venezuela, where your efforts will truly make a huge impact to people lives at minimum cost to most of us personally. I am sure if we were ever in their situation, we would so desperately hope for others to give us that helping hand too.
