    ING working with Ripple?

    Posted: 03 Jun 2018 06:59 AM PDT

I'm reposting this since my original post was taken down. I've masked the IP address in case that was the reason.

This might be far fetched, or a coincidence but I will share with you what I noticed.

If you visit https://xrpcharts.ripple.com/#/topology there are a bunch of nodes. The green nodes are the ones that use Ripple's latest 1.0.0 validator. If you click on them, they each have an IP address.

I noticed that a new node popped up in NYC. It's IP address is: xxx.xxx.xxx.xx which points to a company named Furman Selz. According to an old article from WSJ, this company was bought out by ING (the Dutch bank giant).

Does this mean that ING is officially working with Ripple? https://thefinancialanalyst.net/2017/10/23/dutch-bank-ing-rumoured-implementing-ripple-cryptocurrency-international-transfers/

SBI is up to some major shit

    Posted: 02 Jun 2018 10:11 PM PDT

I've dove deeper down the rabbit hole that 7-Bank lead me too.

So to start, there is a lot of little banks and F.I's that SBI are the parent company of; 77, Orix, Iyo, and a lot more you've never heard of. But, some of these little banks are more than what they look like, 7-Bank - Owners of 7-11, Aeon - Heavily used service that travelers use to get yen on the spot, Shinkin Central Bank - They hold ALOT of yen (they kind of act like a reserve in a way), Sony Bank - it is a direct bank so no branches or ATM's

7-11's are already a go to place to pay for utility bills, phone bills, and others. These little convenience stores will serve as a 24/7 Brick and mortar location for people to what ever financial service they need done.

Aeon, Travelers use their ATM's to exchange foreign currencies to yen on the spot. Already located in Airports around Japan, perfect use case for xRapid.

Shinkin, not much info about it but, they play a key role in Japaneses financial industry.

Sony Bank, yes its associated with Sony Electronics. My best guess here is that this bank serves as part of Sony's world wide payment infrastructure.

You guys have been overlooking this for so long. SBI is literally behind SO many financial institutions in Japan, they pretty much have a monopoly on the money services there. With all of these Banks operating under SBI, once SBI VC is launched and once SBI puts xRapid into production. We will moon.

I encourage ALL of you to take a second and dig just a little deeper then you guys do. Most people on here just listen to all the news that Youtube, Twitter, and Reddit rehashes over and over again. There is plenty of info, buried out there, between the lines, or staring you in the fricking face that no one has talked about yet. Theres bigger fish to fry than CoinBase out there.

Accepting XRP as a tip in my Uber/Lyft

    Posted: 03 Jun 2018 12:20 PM PDT

I do some driving for Uber and Lyft in Orange County and LA. Crypto comes up on a lot of rides. Ok, I bring up crypto on a lot of rides (ha), but others do as well.

Recently I posted a couple of things to craigslist and saw that you can accept crypto as payment. So, it got me thinking... maybe I should accept tips in crypto? I was thinking specifically XRP, but maybe others, too.

One problem I have with the idea is I tend to believe it's tacky AF to put up any kind of sign requesting tips in an Uber/Lyft. However, due to the fact that most people don't have crypto, it doesn't seem as pushy. Also, I think it may be a conversation starter, which is always good for raising public awareness. And hey, many people I've talked to have ripple or other crypto... they may feel inclined to do it, out of considering the sheer utility of the coins helps drive future adoption?

I was also considering offering products like granola bars/snacks, water, etc., and offering a discount for paying in crypto... just not sure if this is worth the effort.

What would be the best way of accepting? A QR code? Is that the easiest/only way for it to work? How does that process work for the passenger tipping?

I'm always trying to think of ways to monetize my car while already having passengers in it. This seems like an interesting idea... what do you all think? Any other suggestions that could help me accumulate XRP and spread awareness?

    Or just no? 😬

IMF Explains Cryptocurrencies in short video - XRP, ETH, BTC

Gatehub Question: 80 XRP, 2 trustlines, but can only exchange 30 XRP.

    Posted: 03 Jun 2018 06:34 PM PDT

As the title states, I have 80 XRP on Gatehub. The two trustlines I have are GateHub (XRP,EUR,USD) and Fifth (ETH, REP, ETC, BTC, QAU, BCH, DASH).

When I try to exchange and I select all available it only lets me select 30 XRP. I am fully aware of needing a minimum balance of 20 XRP and 5 XRP per trustline but can't figure out where the other 20 XRP are.

Does it have something to do with all the extra currency types.

Please school me on this one so I can access the hidden XRP!
