Open letter to Voskcoin - the direction your channel is taking is really disappointing. Posted: 26 May 2018 03:54 PM PDT Long time fan, but the direction you're taking leave me baffled. Sure, you're a mining-centric channel so you want to cover all aspects of mining, thats fine and I understand. But you put out a video only a few short months ago talking about fighting against ASICs and how they're poised to make GPU mining useless. Now you don't really peep about it whilst reviewing asics. That isn't even what sent me over the edge. What did it was your recent video where in the beginning you say "Its the year of the masternode" and you're doing a masternode series. Does it matter that almost all the scams now are masternode scams and masternode presale scams? Does it matter that masternode reward structures are almost always 50%+ block reward to MN? While people mining, doing actual work, are getting crumbs? Does it matter that masternodes allow people with big money to just slap their dick out on the table, buy up enough coins for the node, and sit back and collect rewards? Masternodes to me are really nothing but a negative. Give power to those with enough money to fund them. Give developers an easy way to scam off with money. Give most of the block reward to them just for holding coins. All they do is keep the price high. If a project was actually good, it wouldn't need a bunch of people holding coins to keep it propped up. You built your base of fans on GPU mining and you say you're still a gpu miner and stick up for gpu miners, but lately you're getting into areas that run counter to gpu mining in general. I know you're obviously trying to play to the crowd for views and I dont blame you, its your job I suppose so I can't fault you. However this most recent video and the news that you're doing a whole series on masternodes is really disturbing and I hope you nuke it. You can explain to me all day the benefits of masternodes, but there is a reason they are pushed so hard by so many new projects and so many scam projects. I hope you will consider this seriously, and not immediately jump to calling me a "troll" or hater. I legitimately have been a fan. I do think it a bit silly you quick to judge and call anyone who disagree a troll. I hope you reconsider and come back to the people who built your channel in the first place. Gpu miners. Good luck, goodbye. Edit: Now that Vosk showed up, does anyone else think he isn't writing these replies? They are way too articulate compared to every other comment he has ever made. Posted: 27 May 2018 05:28 AM PDT Hi, so I've been using the search bar and honestly I'm starting to think mining is quite a good idea for me now. However, I can only start mining with like definitely less than 10 GPU's. I saw some post placing the 1070ti and 1080ti as the best overall for small mining operations ( mine definitely applies) my main question is which gpu is the best overall for ease of setup and best return rates overall and how many gpu's would i need to be at least making 4 figures a year. I'm not new to crypto or bitcoin so anything crypto related is no problem, but I'm still trying to wrap my whole head around mining. Also let's say I wanna game with one of the Gpu's I'm using for mining, would that still be possible? If I put several gpu's together to mine is it more effective than using the exact same number of gpu's to mine but they are being placed separately? [link] [comments]

Suprnova pool Vertcoin mining. Confirmed amount disappears Posted: 27 May 2018 07:55 AM PDT So....Just watched my "Confirmed" 0.5xxx amount of Vertcoin drop to Zero for no reason that I can think of while mining Vertcoin on suprnova pool. Some of that confirmed amount was left over from weeks ago and now dissapears while I am mining again? Also watch my unconfirmed amount of 6.5 drop to 5.9 at the same time. So is suprnova just grabbing amounts from my account or what? This is not the first time I have noticed things like this happening on suprnovapool. How the hell can my confirmed amount that is in my account be taken without my ok? [link] [comments]

Add2psu not jumping second PSU. Any tips? Posted: 27 May 2018 06:03 AM PDT Hi guys, I recently bought an add2psu (genentek) and a small power supply to power two cards to fill my mining motherboard. Master PSU is an 1000W EVGA golf powering 4 cards. Undervolted, it pulls ~750W from the wall. I ran molex from master PSU (perif slot) to add2psu, and motherboard cable from slave PSU. I've tried reconnecting cables and putting both power supplies on separate power strips on separate outlets. Any tips for troubleshooting? Is the master PSU not powerful enough to jump the slave with 4 cards attached? I haven't been able to test the slave on its own but will if a couple new adapters don't work. Thanks. Problem: Equihash Nvidia mining Posted: 27 May 2018 12:26 AM PDT Edit: Problem solved. It was the PSU. I tested it with 50% power and it works just fine. Thanks for the help guys 👍Hello Long story short: Tried diff. miners but my rig just shuts down after 5-6 secs and reboots. No error message...nothing...it just crashes. Hardware: GPU setting: I have another rig with the same hardware but with 5 Vega RX...and this rig works just fine with Equihash. [link] [comments]
How to flash my card without ATIWinFlash Posted: 26 May 2018 06:29 PM PDT So I flashed my card hella long ago with its own bios just different timing (for eth mining) and it worked great, no problems at all for like a year, than recently I was forced to re install windows because of a virus, all my apps got deleted but my files stayed so I still have my back up bios. The problem is when I try to install my gpu drivers it always fails or says it works but it didnt because the resolution looks trash and radeon settings wont start or isnt there at all, the only drivers I could get to work are Non-WHQL-Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-16.10.3-Oct27 I have a rx 480 8gb g1 gaming, I think if I can flash my bios back it will work fine, but I cant because ATIWinFlash says "please install a discrete card" So if anyone knows how to fix this that would be great <3 (I have uninstalled drivers using DDU and deleted my amd folder several times to no prevail, I have also done several things amd's support suggested.) What are some ways you keep your rig/house cool? Posted: 26 May 2018 05:01 PM PDT What are some creative ways you guys keep your rig (or more importantly the room) cool on a budget? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 May 2018 09:23 AM PDT Recently realized there's documented interference between USB 3.0 and 2.4GHz - Link to Intel Whitepaper As I've got 5 rigs in the same room all w/Wi-Fi smart plugs for remote toggle/energy monitoring I'm wondering if this isn't the cause of seemingly random GPU crashes (could be a number of devices in the house actually). One day I was on a teleconf w/phone muted but on speaker.. walked right up next to the rack with mining rigs and almost immediately one of the rigs dropped to GPU's/rebooted and the cell phone lost the call. Anyone out there use some sort of shielding or Faraday type screening for your rigs? Does it help? I'm def DIY kinda person but have day job and a toddler so would love some input before investing time building something that may or may not have any benefit. Cheers! [link] [comments]
Rx 580 that needs 8+6 pin to work Posted: 26 May 2018 03:16 PM PDT I'm trying to make a list of RX580's that need 8+6 pins to work. So far, this is what i know: Sapphire Nitro+ SE 8gb - has 8+6 pin, only needs 8 Gigabyte Aorus XTR 8 gb - needs 8+6 pins Asus Dual OC 8gb - only has 8 pin Powercolor Red Devil - has 8+6 pin, only needs 8 Do you have another one that has to have 8+6 pins connected to work? The purpose of this post is to find which ones MUST have the 8+6 pins connected, since most of them only need 8. If you haven't tried using only the 8 pin on a 8+6 card, please do not reply.
