Dear Poloniex, you specifically said you won't hold our funds hostage. You lied. Posted: 27 May 2018 09:50 AM PDT On December 27, 2017, Poloniex issued a notice to legacy account holders that specifically said:
People who were waiting for the deadline to be announced before withdrawing, or people who had more funds than could be withdrawn with small withdrawal limit since the first announcement have no way of accessing their funds than verifying. Additionally, /u/Mike-Poloniex reassured us that: "No one will be forced to verify or abandon funds." Yet the exact thing I warned that might happen happened - Poloniex shut down legacy accounts and disabled withdrawals. Any comment, /u/Mike-Poloniex? The original notice/press release with broken promises is still available on Poloniex. [link] [comments] |
