3 Projects being built upon Request Network by other developers

    Posted: 28 Apr 2018 09:02 PM PDT

Back in january, Request Network announced that they would allocate 30 million USD to the Request fund, a fund meant to encourage outside developers to build upon the Request Network, with an amount of 20-100k in USD per project.

According to what I have read over the past months, most people don't know the possibilities with Request, but the mind map puts it into perspective.

There are currently 2 projects that I know of at this point that have been in contact with the Request team to build upon Request Network.

Donaid - an easy way for anyone to accept donations.

Chango - easy transactions between family and friends, by Elunic.

Wooreq - Application for WooCommerce to accept payments in cryptocurrency or fiat (Currently on ethereum is accepted, with plans to integrate ERC20 tokens and Bitcoin soonish) This application is under development by one of the team members at Request.

Request Network is still in it's early days, and there are a ton of possibilities to build on it. If you are a good developer, you might wanna get in contact with them. I genuinely believe this will help bridging the fiat to crypto for your average Joe as easily as possible, and help with the adoption of crypto currency as a whole.

Edit: Published before I could edit title, Wooreq is not a outsourced project.

    If you are in Slovenia...

    Posted: 28 Apr 2018 04:54 PM PDT

If you are in Slovenia, you can now change your electricity providers to "Sun Contract" (Market Cap: 25M) and get your electricity directly from the sun contract platform, also you can buy and sell electricity through their platform. As on now there are more than 100 Households that have signed up with the platform and are receiving electricity. SNC Tokens are used as a currency within the Platform. Sun contract enables any one who register's on their platform to directly buy and sell solar energy by being registered on the GRID. As Europe has liberalized energy market's, they have been able to launch their platform as per regulations with in just 8 months after ICO. During their platform launch they have announced more than 9 partnerships along with Solar Power Europe. ( Right now, more than 5 energy trading tokens are available to buy, but as of now ONLY token with working product is SNC. Yet not many people know about it, due to 1) Marketing being started just two months before platform launch on April 13th. They were going for a product first approach and also 2) They raised insanely low amount of 2 Million USD during June-July 2017 ICO.

Future direction for SNC, Now that they have a working product, they are targeting for, FIAT GATEWAY: By enabling users to buy SNC directly from their website, they will help push adoption for SNC platform. EXPANSION: They will expand platform to Germany and other countries as per regulations.

I just wanted to let you about this as I feel electricity is a necessity and we can NOW use an ERC20 token to BUY and SELL Electricity, I felt like sharing this news. But I'm an investor int this as well, but I'm merely reporting on what they achieved till now. Feel free to research about the team at https://www.suncontract.org and also read their medium articles, https://medium.com/@SunContract. The admins are quite active on Telegram, if you have any questions, they are more than willing to help.

    Thank you.

Warning: Do not invest in MoneroV.

    Posted: 28 Apr 2018 09:15 PM PDT

Okay MoneroV gets posted about enough I think it's time someone told the truth about what's going on. Save this post and paste it on other XMV threads, because this shit is a fucking scam.

Everything MoneroV does "differently" is a lie. Here are their claims.

    • On Decentralization

      • MoneroV claims that Monero is run by one individual and therefore vulnerable. This is false. Monero development is freelanced and funded by the community through charity donations, and that can be seen live HERE.
      • More evidence proving the contrary is how many times Monero has kicked their figurehead off the team: Monero was created by Thankful_for_today and the community banned him. It was acquired by Tacotime - Who the community blocked out as well.
      • Also, how can MoneroV have a decentralized development team if 1) it's closed source 2) has A DEVELOPER PREMINE and 3) doesn't invite anyone on the team? Who even audits their code?
      • MoneroV also boasts about their full-time development team. But HMM, somehow it's a decentralized full-time development team..
    • On Supply Cap

      • MoneroV sites in their whitepaper that the Austrian School of Economics determines that a fixed cap on the circulating supply of a coin is best from an economic standpoint. They fail to realize the following things though:
      • Because Monero works differently than Bitcoin, THERE CANNOT BE a supply cap. Monero scales on-chain so they never have to fork to a larger block size. This is done through Dynamic Block Sizing, which relies on people mining for a reward on each block. Monero must always mint new coins for this to work.
    • On Legitimate Mining

      • MoneroV claims to fight the botnets that Monero allows to allow more competition for legitimate miners using their computers.
      • Monero has never supported the use of botnets, and has forked to bar ASICs from ruining the network. MoneroV - Has not.
    • This is not a shitfork like Bitcoin Gold where you just "Claim free money". MoneroV damages both networks.

      • Because of how Monero works, forking the chain in the specific way MoneroV has chosen to ruins Ring Signatures on both networks for users who decide to participate in the "Free Coin Airdrop".
      • Monero is anonymous through the Cryptonote protocol which enables Ring Signatures and Stealth Addressing by default. Over the years, more things have been added on top such as subaddresses and RingCT. This makes the transaction A -> B invisible on the blockchain to an outside observer, and MoneroV still has that.
      • The issue with re-using the chain is when B is trying to find out who sent it money by only looking at the blockchain. A -> B is invisible to the average user by stealth addresses, but only to B via RingCT and Ring Signatures. Due to some complicated math I can't get into with a single Reddit post, this risks the anonymity of A to B.
      • Monero also supports forks in open arms. /r/Aeon is linked on their sidebar for fucks sakes. This is not an issue with forking Monero - This is an issue with MoneroV.

Please save, share and spread this post like wildfire. As a large user of Monero I'm making this post completely against my own economical gain, but this really needs to be said. I would even encourage you to ask these questions on their subreddit (although fair warning you will get banned ). Stay safe and happy forking.

Anyone else subbed to r/bitcoin and r/btc...

    Posted: 28 Apr 2018 04:32 PM PDT

and hate it? The two subs are absolutely stupid. Every single post is about which is better. Its like being subscribed to middle school rivals. Or like being subscribed to Republican and Democrat subs. Its like I'm taking crazy pills. They are ruining this for the rest of us by driving people insane. I don't own either of them, but they can easily coexist.

    Youtube scammers ( Suppoman )

    Posted: 28 Apr 2018 03:47 PM PDT

I just signed up for Suppomans "Cryptocurrency Course" on Bitdegree. Was interested in trying something with a working product. Was impressed with the website design. Some feedback....

    • The course quality itself was terrible.
    • The course length is about 15 minutes( Yes that is the whole "course", not just the intro).
    • I wouldnt really call it a course, more like 15 minutes of shilling a new crypto called Zebi.
    • The presenter claims the last time he made such a course was in 2017 for Ethos, which went like 100x. Ignores all the other courses with failed shills in between.

    Are all youtubers just scammers?.

This guy has a new greatest ever coins to shill once a month. The majority of which fall below ICO or pump for a little while before falling. Bitdegree, Carvertical, Seele to name a few.

Then brands himself as an expert and sells BS courses with no substance. It seems like most of these guys are scammers who found the Internets. Or does this even fall under scamming?

    WTF just happened to Waves?

    Posted: 29 Apr 2018 12:08 AM PDT

24h high $8.81, low $4.44. Held Waves for a long time and never seen this type of movement before.

    currently mid $7.

I think Waves is a really promising coin, great user interface, decentralised exchange working, the easiest token issuance of any coin, lots of development. The only thing holding back the price seems to be that it is only on a few exchanges but that also meant a more stable price. This pump (and dump to come?) is new.
