Take a moment to remember Crypto Genius as we’ll never be able to see his ads again. Will we ever find out who the next Bitcoin is?

I’d rather go to 0 then sell at these prices.

    Posted: 14 Mar 2018 07:18 PM PDT

Is it hard seeing your money go down? It absolutely is right now my portfolio is down about 10k and yes it hurts. Keep in mind how many times a crash like this has happened in just 3 months. It will rise again, don't sell at these prices. You will either break even or get profit in a couple weeks time. This happens all the time if you have to just stop looking at your portfolio and prices on everything just go on with your daily life and check in a week.

Because they panic sold after we were down 20 percent from ATH. I was the one who believed in the tech and bought the dip and then the dip's dip and then the dip's dip's dip.

Now here I am pushing -70 percent wondering how much more of this shit I can take.

My 2 cents to all panic investors...

    Posted: 14 Mar 2018 04:46 PM PDT

I've been in crypto for a while... I experienced huge crashes, even bigger bull run,a lot pf short term bear and bull market and here is what I have to say to all of those who are panicking ansd thinking pf selling at loss.

First of all this all makes sense if you invested money you can afford to lose!

    So here we go.

Many people(experts) compare crypto bubble and dot.com bubble and I partially agree. There are a lot of scam coins and projects that will eventually cause crash so money can pour into real life changing projects.

Crypto and blockchain are so revolutional, maybe even bigger discovery than Internet. It could/will radically change the world we live in. When stocks/shares came to the market a lot of people said it is a scam just like they say now about crypto, but that's normal and in human nature cause we are afraid of things we don't understand. When dot.com bubble bursted noone could expected that one of companies which was part of bubble would today be the biggest company in the world and it's owner richest man on earth (Amazon/Bezos). I am quite sure we would be talking the same way about some crypto(s).

But we have to be realistic. 99% of crypto at the moment are good wishes and long future. (except for ripple which is closest to real life use but not really a crypto). Even Bitcoin is used only as something that could be sold at higher prices to FIAT. All this prices are pure speculation at nothing else. Untill real use we can't realistically determine price of coin.

We are few years away from real adoption and these price fluctuations are nothing compared to bigger picture.

But we need bigger players in this area, we need regulations, we need for people to see that crypto isn't ONLY replacement for fiat, that there are much more behind it.

Most of all we need to calm down these mass hysteria and remove headlines "if you bought BTC in 2010 you would be millionaire. Because of it many people jumped into this expecting to become rich in 2 months and retire. If you are hoping that crypto would make you that rich so you don't have to work anymore please do your self a favour and sell everything you have because chances of that happening are 0,5%.

Choose projects you invest in carefully and don't panic when it dips and don't celebrate when it rises. Untill we see real life use and adoption we haven't achieved anything. Once your project becomes used in everyday life then celebrate and be proud of yourself. Don't listen to Warren Buffet nor Mcafee. Buffet said Amazon is bubble and look it now. The other one lost his mind.

These is not financial advice but friendly advice : KEEP BIGGER PICTURE IN MIND AND DON'T SELL AT LOSS!

Am I the only one excited about a double bottom?

    Posted: 14 Mar 2018 08:06 PM PDT

Zoom out. Look at Feb 6th compared to where we're heading. That's called a double bottom, and we need one to bounce back up with a fury. Do you want BTC to soar beyond 20k? You want your alts to come back? Go outside, play with your neglected kids, binge drink, whatever makes you happy, do it for a few days while we continue to tank downward. If you truly believe in crypto, then you'll understand that we have to test the bottom before we can rally back up and get more noobz interested. If the chart starts to look like a "W" in a few days, buckle up! If it keeps going downward, I have a pistol in the desk drawer.

    The worst is behind us.

    Posted: 14 Mar 2018 08:15 PM PDT

We are down nearly 70 percent from all time high. The worst is behind us. Only 30 more percent to go until we have lost it all.

No matter how bad things go, we can't lose more than we already have because that would break mathematics.

    Hopefully that's comforting.

    Crypto Wisdom for everyone

    Posted: 15 Mar 2018 02:10 AM PDT

I am 80% Down in Fiats,

More than 50% down in BTC.

    I have TWO choices :

Choice (1) - I can curse myself every single hour about Why didn't I move 100% to BTC, or even better why not 100% in FIATS at the Top ? Why did I follow THAT Trader and not ANOTHER one? Why didn't I book Profits in time? How beautiful it would be to have ALL IN USDT at this moment ? Now that I am 80% down, it will require another 5x from here on to reach previous High :-(

Choice (2) - Still be Thankful for what I have. Still I am years ahead in Crypto than vast majority of common people. Still I am not worried about my monthly pay cheque. Although I have witnessed at least 2nd or 3rd MAJOR Crash in Crypto History, Still I am Alive and Kicking :-)

Charts Looks PERFECT when observed in the Future. Most of the Expert Traders are in the Same Boat too. Whether they tell you or not, but most of them are also down by huge margin than their own previous highs.

Those who didn't lose much, are the same people who didn't gain much in the Late December - Early Jan Rally.. Because they have been No coiners for long time ever since BTC went Parabolic.

So, Overall - ALMOST EVERONE is at the same level. Keep in mind, those who are heavily in ALTS, and thus losing extensively - will be able to make most of the next Bull run.

It is just matter of TIME.

We can't Catch the BOTTOM, and neither the TOP. Somewhere in between these Extremes - we make our Fortune.

In fact we ALREADY DID MAKE our Fortune before.

PSA: I know when the next Bull run will be and here’s why:

    Posted: 14 Mar 2018 08:09 PM PDT

So, many of you guys saw how people predicted the dip today due to obvious reasons (Pi day). Where many executives had to take out their investments in crypto in order to buy pie and we all know (good) pie isn't cheap.

I'm here to let you guys know when the next bullish market will be. The date is April 20th, 2018, save this date in your calendars.

The reason why? Because 4/20. People will flood into the black market in order to buy their marijuanas and be able to join the celebration.

Why will this affect the crypto market? Because as we all know, in order to buy marijuanas, other drugs, hitmen and many more illegal things in the black market and dark web, you need Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the currency of the dark web because it is untraceable and the feds won't know you bought that sweet triple OG purple bubblegum ganja or hired a hitman to kill Susie because she's a bitch.

What should I invest in before this Bullish market? Well, Bitcoin is the obvious choice. If you wish to add some medium/high risk coins into your portfolio, I'd also include Cannabis Coin (CANN), Potcoin (POT), HempCoin (THC), CannaCoin (CCN) and BitConnect (BCC). These choices are very obvious, the first 4 are related to marijuanas and 4/20 while Bitconnect will also rise due to all the people being high and watching Carlos Matos videos and develop a bond with a coin, causing them to buy it.

This is all the information you need in order to end your 2018 driving a moon lambo, as always, this isn't financial advice, DYOR and only take out one mortgage to invest.

/s just in case it wasnt obvious enough

Remember: the market is easily manipulated. Whales have their own objectives. Big money wants to get in cheap.

    Posted: 14 Mar 2018 08:11 PM PDT

There's a saying. "In the Wall Street, the bear makes money, the bull makes money, and the pigs get slaughtered." Well, you only lose money if you panic sell below your purchase price and exit. This might sound like a conspiracy story, but it's true that even those in the highest cadre in politics are trying every dirty trick in the books in order to gain from the volatility of cryptos. Remember that time when South Koreans were investigated for insider trading? Yep. So don't feed the whales. If you believe in crypto, which I'm sure you do, otherwise why the fuck would you be here, then hold. Cryptos have always had these "crashes" and every time it managed to climb past its previous ATH. Not by 10 % or 20 %,but 100% and 200%. Get some discipline nd train your stomach till it becomes as though as a Nokia phone.

    Posted: 14 Mar 2018 04:41 AM PDT

This video, "The Third Industrial Revolution: A Radical New Sharing Economy", by Jeremy Rifkin inspired this post. If you have not seen it and have a spare two hours, please get a drink, get comfortable and watch it. I promise it will resonate with you as a human being. This post will still be here when you get back.

Why I believe in distributed ledger technologies (DLT)

At its core, DLT represents a new form of communication technology. The Economist was right. The most groundbreaking part of DLT is the provision of trust through network effects and economic incentives. This trust allows the network to act as a value transfer mechanism. Whether the value being transferred is a unit of currency (BTC/BCH/LTC), a component of a protocol (ETH/ADA/EOS), a representation of network ownership (NEO/VET) or a utility token (XRP/XLM).

    Progression of revolutionary communication technologies

Each of these have been revolutionary in their own right and have caused massive social, cultural and financial changes in human history.

    • speech/language = audio communication within a life span

    • written word = visual communication beyond a life span

    • printing press = massively distributed visual communication

    • telephone = audio communication at light speed

    • radio = massively distributed audio communication at light speed

    • television = massively distributed audiovisual communication at light speed

    • internet = massively distributed audiovisual communication at light speed + network effects

      • the internet has lead to the rise of massive companies through network effects. their net worth derived from the data network or network participants that they influence. amazon with market data and market participants. google with raw data from most of the world. facebook with social data. uber with their driver network. airbnb with their property network. etc.
      • these companies are valuable because they have derived value from their network participants. by providing the centralised infrastructure, they own the data each participant supplies.

    The next step in communication

    • blockchain/DLT = internet + decentralised + trust = information AND real value transfer
      • decentralised currency. decentralised market economy. decentralised big data. decentralised social networks. decentralised search engines. true IoT. no more large central repositories of information, power or value.
      • this is the age, where instead of owning stock in large centralised companies, we own decentralised currencies and participate in decentralised networks. value is created and distributed through the decentralised market economy as people trade peer-to-peer network-to-network without intermediaries.

This is still a long way away. Much of the world is still transitioning into the internet connected world. My long term hope is that we transition towards this decentralised economy in a stable manner, people truly own their own data and we become 100% energy self-sufficient with renewable energy.

We are all on the same team. Positive news for one crypto is positive news for all cryptos. Let's help each other to foster blockchain adoption.

With the influx of new users in late 2017, I was hoping as a whole we would come closer to worldwide adoption of distributed ledger technologies and decentralised trustless networks. I think adoption is still slowly happening but as a community most of us have been tempted by Mammon and our dopamine addictions.

I feel there are more traders looking to make quick gains than those who believe in the technology behind what they are buying. "Buying the rumour and selling the news" is the ultimate testament to the state of crypto. People are irrationally optimistic and looking to make a quick buck off each other by engaging in short term trades, timing the market pumps and dumps.

I don't mind the shilling. (As long as it's thought out and logically presented, not mindless shilling e.g. XCOIN MOON) Shilling helped me find two very profitable investments, both of which I still hold. Shilling is good for crypto as a whole. It is optimistic, encourages adoption and gets people to engage and ask questions. Shilling is a dysphemism for advertising from an optimistic community. A fair portion of people only find out about new investments from shilling.

On the other hand, I'm not a fan of the spread of FUD, in particular the spread of misinformation. The world today has enough "fake news". We don't need more bullshit being spread in crypto. If you think someone is flat out wrong, don't attack their character or spout one of these. Prove why they are wrong with evidence. If you think a project is not promising, outline why you think that way in a rational manner with sources. Even better, why not make a suggestion how you think it can be done better? Add value to the crypto world as a whole rather than take away from other assets you perceive to be competition. Valid skepticism is important, validity needs to be logically and factually sound, not e.g. XCOIN IS A PUMP AND DUMP.

    Regarding blockchain competition...

there is actually no such thing like Enemy in this industry, at least not at this stage. I don't understand why people would do anything to jeopardise a development of Blockchain. It should be a open market and all of startups should work together to push forward the development of technology and applications to help the business

These tenets guide me in both bull and bear markets

    1. Your investment is not your sports team. Keep an open mind and ask questions.

    2. You can learn something from everyone. Everyone is a potential teacher.

    3. If you disagree with someone, try and justify why. (First to yourself, then others)

      • We should all try to be honest about our intentions
      • Disclose your conflicts of interests if you have any
    4. Add value to the community. Spread knowledge and answer questions in your community. Correct misinformation spread by others with sources.

    5. Remind yourself why you got into crypto in the first place.

The enemy isn't other blockchain projects. Global adoption is our common goal. To get there, we need to do better.
