    After the terrible user experience with bitcoin core and scam after scam getting pumped and dumped, only a true crypto currency with cheap, fast, reliable Tx and growing enormously in adoption can reverse the trend.

    Regular people don't give a rat's ass to mimble wimble schnorr bullshit kindle, they want to pay nearly zero fees and have transactions confirm fast.

    Seriously, I don't care how many shills down vote this, flippening wasn't never before so much needed than now. Bitcoin core is totally dead and the crows are biting the corpse.

    Ugh. It appears that Trezor Wallet only recognizes BCH "legacy" addresses, while Bitpay Wallet only displays BCH "cashaddr" or "copay" addresses. Use https://cashaddr.bitcoincash.org to do address format conversions.

    Bitpay Wallet only dispalys BCH CashAddr or Copay format addresses, but not the Legacy format address.

    But Trezor & Ledger & Jaxx Wallets don't support the new BCH CashAddr format.

    And the Trezor doesn't support the Copay format address either. Ledger & Jaxx might be in the same situation.

    What this means is that if you have a Trezor/Ledger/Jaxx Wallet, and want to send BCH to a Bitpay Wallet, you'll probably have to use an online conversion tool to get the BCH Legacy address format.

    u/spair , it's probably best for the Bitpay Wallet to have the option of showing BCH legacy format addresses, to make it easier to transfer BCH from Trezor/Ledger/Jaxx Wallets to Bitpay Wallets.

    Great News! APMEX (precious metals exchange) now accepts payment in BCH, up to $250,000!

    Yesterday I called APMEX, and they said they do not accept BCH, and have no plans to do so. I talked with them, and explained that their intermediary, Bitpay, now deals in BCH. Today they called me and said they now accept BCH!

    That's the good news, but here's my problem. I'm their first customer, and I am trying to transfer BCH from my Trezor to Bitpay. The address I get from Bitpay for a BCH transaction is not accepted by my Trezor as a valid address. But if I get an address from Bitpay for my BTC wallet and put it in as the address for a BCH transaction (don't worry, I won't actually use it), Trezor accepts it. What's going on? (by the way, the BTC address is 34 characters long, and the BCH address is 42 characters long)

    [UPDATE:] Problem fixed (actually, worked around). Use this to convert to a legacy address.

    To those who don't understand Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin: Do you realize the main feature of Bitcoin is that it can't be controlled/censored/frozen by any central authority? What do you think a reaction to a take over would look like?

    Because this is exactly what Bitcoin Cash is: It's the network reacting to Blockstream's attempt to hijack Bitcoin. Banks don't want Bitcoin to scale. That's why they funded Blockstream, bought the top devs that were on sale (Greg, Luke, Peter, etc), and kicked out the rest (Gavin, Mike, etc), bought the forums, and started a massive propaganda and censorship campaign to silence anyone who dared say "we should raise the block size limit" (which has always been the original scaling plan). That's why all the early adopters are here on r/btc. We were banned from rBitcoin long ago.

    Bitcoin Cash maitains the original design, the original scaling plan, and the original blockchain intact. Bitcoin Cash is literally Bitcoin.
