Just made my first purchase on Robinhood Crypto - It's awesome Posted: 14 Mar 2018 12:52 PM PDT Earlier today I received an email saying I had been approved access to join begin buying cryptocurrency on Robinhood. I just bought one Ethereum on Robinhood crypto, as I had some buying power in my Robinhood account already. I have to say, the layout, the ease of purchase, the option of placing stop-loss and limit orders - these are incredible attributes of the app. I am likely going to sell all of my crypto on Coinbase and begin using Robinhood instead. Additionally, I paid zero fees on my purchase. Not even 1%. I don't know how long Robinhood will be continuing this but I am currently very excited about it. Hopefull this will bring some much-needed energy back into the markets. Happy trading everyone. [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Mar 2018 10:02 PM PDT I don't doubt that services like this exists already and I'm sure they are profitable for whales that can afford to park their millions to their genius trader friends. But for the majority of us average or small time investors I believe that if there is not a service or business out there that allows you to "gain interest" for investing with them that exist right now are likely either scams or not going to be around for more than 2 years (that's being generous most of them will likely only last a few months) Don't take this as me saying that I don't believe in the future of crypto or blockchain tech. Far from it. What I'm saying is that the technology is still too nascent right now to have services like this to exist. Even online wallets are going to be difficult to trust only because nothing is 100% hack-proof. I've lost small hundreds here and there going into ICOs and putting a small amount into services like these in the past. After getting burned a couple of times you just learn to get paid out in fiat or just HODL it in accounts that you can trust will be completely in your ownership, can't be transferred, frozen, or looted. Every couple of months i do new research to see if anything in the industry has changed in this area as well as see what other innovations have popped up to see if the foundation is solid enough to start adopting it and investment portfolio management type services just aren't there yet for the average investor. Please feel free to prove me wrong with case examples. It is entirely possible in my research I've missed many things and of course i always welcome newer and more correct information. CMV = change my view. [link] [comments]
