    Buying ETH at 1k

    Posted: 30 Jan 2018 10:39 AM PST

Hey! I'm a college student who's been investing most of my beer money into cryptos. My portfolio is currently spread between 16 coins, with about 50% in the big 3 (ETH, LTC, BTC, in that order) and the rest between coins with tech I believe in.

I think ETH has the best long term potential of Crypto's, and I know I want to put a lot more in it, so now I'm just trying to figure out when. My idea was to buy a substantial amount as soon as it dips below $1k on Coinbase. How is this idea? Obviously nobody can guess the market, but I'd love some input.

Is today the first day Tether's market cap shrank?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2018 05:32 PM PST

When there is a demand for Tether, they print more and distribute. You can see the times they do this on their graph of their market cap. Today is the first drop. Does this mean they have destroyed some Tether and refunded peoples fiat? I know its a small portion of their market cap but does this instill any confidence in the lynch mob?

Okay who is this? Come out! The Finance company I work for sent out an email to our small department to not use Weiss for crypto investments for our clients.

    Posted: 30 Jan 2018 09:04 AM PST

Their community involvement allows them to evaluate cryptocurrencies at a unbias perspective and protecting the decentralised nature of these types of technologies.

...research and IG involving digital assets will not be based on Weiss content. In the meantime, please halt all client investments pertaining to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. We will be evaluating a new digital asset reporting firm that has a thorough understanding of the industry since 2010.

Robin Hood: FUD or mass adoption?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2018 09:45 PM PST

I'd love to hear everyone's opinions on how you think Robin Hood moving into crypto will impact the market. Here are a few potential outcomes I see: 1. Massive popularity leads to usage problems during initial launch, spreading FUD 2. A mainstream financial app integrating crypto leads to mass adoption and a bull run 3. Crypto newcomers try to get in on the hype which leads to a massive pump and dump + FUD
