Posted: 23 Dec 2017 06:49 PM PST Stop looking at the market every hour. Set a reminder on your phone and live life. Looking at the market makes some of us think one of the following:
Let's just relax people. HODL and enjoy xmas. [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Dec 2017 04:56 AM PST I have been following the crypto scene for a while now and finally decided to put a little money into ripple. I just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone here for all the helpful information you guys have posted and for always being willing to answer other people question no matter how silly or insignificant they may be. Your hard work and generosity has not gone unnoticed. So to you I give a sincere Thank You! Happy Holidays! [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Dec 2017 10:54 AM PST Speculation on Bitcoin has made many people filthy rich. The people that made it big weren't looking for short term gains. They were long term holders that saw the potential early on. The game is to accumulate as much as possible when opportunities present themselves. This is my case on why XRP is the next coin to be in. Why Ripple?
Why Hold?
What do you all think? [link] [comments]

Will the new tax bill help or hurt XRP prices? Posted: 23 Dec 2017 06:15 PM PST I'm curious about people's thoughts on how the new tax rules will impact the price of XRP. On the one hand, I can see coin-to-coin trade taxing encouraging the HODL mentality and possibly increasing the sell price. On the other hand, I can see the taxes being a deterrent to people who move out of one coin and into another. We saw a lot of people moving into XRP during the recent correction. That might not be as common if it means getting hit with taxes. People who make the move for the long term might still do it, but the people trading back and forth and trying to time the market are going to start considering the tax implications here in the U.S. So what do you think will be the net effect on XRP? Binance showing Ripple (and everything else) much lower than what it should be... Posted: 23 Dec 2017 03:06 PM PST I'm looking at Binance right now and it shows XRP at $1.02. However, most all other tickers are showing me $1.19. I'm assuming because Binance uses the Asian exchange prices, whereas the places showing $1.19 are American exchange prices? Also, in my Binance, it shows my portfolio worth at $2,500, but when I plug my portfolio numbers into the American prices my portfolio is worth $3,800. That's a huge difference! Will I be able to get $3,800 if I exchange my coins from Binance to an American exchange? For instance, if I exchanged all my coins for ETH in Binance, then transferred to CoinBase and sold it for USD, would I be able to get my $3,800 price? [link] [comments]
The Case for Ripple's XRP in 2018: A Brief Overview Posted: 23 Dec 2017 07:49 PM PST https://cellardoorway.com/2017/12/24/the-case-for-ripples-xrp-a-brief-overview/ Hi everyone, I have become dismayed at the number of people asking whether XRP is a worthwhile investment in 2018. While I understand that the vast majority of us here have high hopes and confidence in Ripple's future, I recognize that many don't. In turn, I decided to start a blog about cryptocurrencies with a few friends of mine to help clear the air about XRP. I hope you enjoy it. Please let me know your thoughts. Posted: 23 Dec 2017 06:54 PM PST Opened an account on Binance after asking how to purchase Ripple. I've been in the BTC/Ether/LTC game for awhile and use Gdax mainly. I've been tracking Monero and Ripple for some time and would like to buy some. I asked a few days ago how to do it and was told ouchsing Ether on Gdax/Coinbase and sending it to Binance to convert into Ripple is the best. Now I can't find the Binance app on the App Store but when checking coin market cap they had a link to Binance.com. On the bottom of my screen it asks me to use the app but when I click the link it has a strange pop up so I went and created an account but it's a very strange UI. I'm not sure if it's the correct site or a 3rd party fake. Could you explain how to convert the Ether into XRP? Also link me to the proper app if available. I know this sounds a bit dumb but as you all know these are dark times with a lot of imposters and shills so any help from the community is greatly appreciated. Thank you [link] [comments]
Who are Ripple's biggest competitors? Posted: 23 Dec 2017 07:45 AM PST Hey XRPers, I'm new to posting here but I've been skimming through the forums a lot lately to educate myself on Ripple. I had bought in roughly 2k XRP back when it cost 27 cents partly owing to the community and the quality of discussions on this subredit. I'm definitely a HODLER, and won't settle for anything else than 10$ per unit before I fold. That sale would land me a neat one-room apartment in the outskirts of my city, which is neat. Anyways, I've been wondering and haven't been able to find much about this: Who are Ripple's main competitors? What are the intrinsic advantages of Ripple, to say, to counter some new player with similar offers on the market? I am considering investing more during a dip, and getting to know the ropes on that would definitely encourage me. Thanks a lot! [link] [comments]

Defending Ripple and XRP against FUD by news and banks in the Netherlands Posted: 23 Dec 2017 02:13 AM PST Thursday RTLZ (one of the biggest newschannels in Holland) posted a topic about the big price fall of Bitcoin and also Ripple was named. ING (one of the biggest banks in Holland) stated that Ripple was not decentralized at all. So had to reply on that, that they should have done more research. Wednesday RTLZ had a first time webinar about cryptocurrency. Also in Holland this is growing a lot. Also here they mentioned that Ripple is not decentralized. Too bad that networks give incorrect info to people that are interested in cryptocurrency and because of that they won't invest in XRP. But I try to spread the good words about XRP as many as possible :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Dec 2017 05:33 PM PST Good morning fellow astronauts, A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to secure two lots of XRP during significant dips in the price, so I am HODLing. I have also been following this subreddit for a few months, and I was wondering if there any reason why no one talks about or discusses btcmarkets.net? As an Australian noobie, I found the exchange extremely intuitive and secure. Once the jolly season is over I'll then do my homework on securing my xrp on a wallet. But for the meantime Is there something I've missed about btcmarkets? Has anyone had good or bad experiences with it? [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Dec 2017 08:15 PM PST My friend who is deeper into the cryptocurrency market then me is telling me not to invest upwards of 2000-2500 into Ripple. He believes that the cryptocurrency market is a bubble and will burst in 2018. He says weak hands got into the cryptocurrency trade recently and will sell in the blink of an eye as soon as a sign of crashing is a thing, and that will in turn create an actual crash. This is making me reconsider my decision. I came back to him and said that Ripple is one of the only currencies designed to be used for the advancement of fiat currencies makes Ripple an odd ball out. I think by the time the market crashes, Ripple will be taken up by big banks and big companies and will have no chance of crashing along with everything else. RippleNet will still be a thing if this bubble is real and pops. And to use RippleNet to its full extent big companies will almost in a sense be forced to continue to use Ripple XRP to continue to have low international transfer fees with RippleNet. Is what I'm saying correct? Does anyone want to back me up or back my friend up? I know almost everyone here has invested in Ripple and wants it to succeed. So do I. But I have to look at both sides before I invest a big amount into this, and was wondering if this community has any input on the matter. Thanks in advance. Maxedoburito [link] [comments]
Finding public key if we know the private key Posted: 23 Dec 2017 07:29 PM PST I'm trying to help someone find their public key. So far we've found their private key, what would be the best way to find the public key so that we can figure out how many coins they have? Would we just have to iterate through all known public addresses up until the date we know the key was created, or is there a better way? edit: Stop asking for the private key. [link] [comments]

How do I cash out on Ripple via Binance? Posted: 23 Dec 2017 08:29 PM PST I know this is something I won't do anytime soon, but recently I bought about 100 Ripple by purchasing ETH on Coinbase then transferring it to Binance and purchased Ripple with that. When the day comes where I want to cash out, how the heck do I do it? Do I transfer the Ripple value to ETH and send it back to Coinbase or can I transfer it to ETH and cash out on Binance? I'm still a noob when it comes to crypto currency, especially Ripple. [link] [comments]
Any wallets that hold both USD *and* XRP? Posted: 23 Dec 2017 03:55 PM PST I would like to buy ripple on binance and transfer to wallet —-> then sell ripple on another exchange into USD. —-> put USD into wallet —-> put USD on binance and buy ripple Only way I think this can work is if theres a wallet that can hold both ripple and USD. Anyone know if there are anyone around? Would appreciate an answer so much! tldr trying to do arbitrage with xrp [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Dec 2017 09:44 PM PST So I've been in XRP since August. I've had many talks with my uncle in law about crypto and he has an interest with it and specifically ripple. I gifted him 100 xrp when you could buy it for 20-25 bucks and he just texted me yesterday all excited. Been seeing a lot of Christmas posts and I think people are missing the point. Even if it's not what they want they should still be appreciative, because you took the time, effort, and thought to gift them crypto. How is gifting crypto any different than gifting your run of the mill store bought crap that will be forgotten in a week? I can tell you. Even if it doesn't rise in price it could be a good way to introduce/educate people. /drunkrantover TLDR; crypto isn't a stupid gift [link] [comments]
XRP/ETH Ratio way off on Binance? Posted: 23 Dec 2017 09:06 AM PST After running some numbers on my current XRP and the value it'd be at if I exchanged to ETH... I noticed that I was losing significant $$ simply by exchanging it at the current ratio. Anyone know why the numbers are so off? Binance's transaction fee is 0.1% so that doesn't explain it. Does anyone know of a more accurate market? Current XRP Value (Coinmarket) $1.18USD Ethereum (Coinmarket) $748.06USD Ratio 0.00157741 Current BINANCE Ratio 0.00144501 [link] [comments] |
