I can't wait for all the Libertarians who are head over heels for Bitcoin...

    Posted: 23 Dec 2017 11:44 AM PST

..To realize that Ethereum is the answer to most of their concerns.

The ability to remove non-relevant 3rd party authority from the need to oversee contracts and agreements between people and entities is the most Libertarian thing I can think of.

I also can't wait for all the socialists who believe in the worker seizing the means of production to realize that DAO's are how that happens. Organizations and companies written into code so that all there is left to do is to produce value from your work.

I also can't wait for all the free-market protectors to realize that cryptocurrency is the ultimate free market.

I also can't wait for those who believe in capitalism see that this makes capitalism accessible to all who participate in the system, rather than just the ones who have the MOST capital.

So many exciting things to come.

    The ETH Herd is Coming

    Posted: 23 Dec 2017 01:37 PM PST

    Here's why

Watch this video it will put everything into perspective for you in terms of where we are with Ethereum / crypto currencies in general.

Following this I would like to hear thoughts based on this insight you gained from this video about where you think we are as a marker relative to this.

And once the penny has dropped I encourage you to spare a moment and think about how many hundreds of millions of people in the next 48 hours are going to be sitting down for Christmas with their entire family....trusted early adopters and early majority majority types alike...

I predict the next 2-3 weeks are going to be the most intense growth we have yet to see in the crypto space.

I want to send my niece some eth, that she can't access until she's 18. Is it possible to have the eth go out of my wallet and into hers and sit there with a smart contract that it can't go out until a set date?

Understanding the fundamentals of the Ethereum source

    Posted: 23 Dec 2017 06:54 AM PST

    Hi

I want to start contributing to Ethereum-Go source, but I want first to grab the concept and understand the source code, is there some kind of book or documentation to understand how all the components work together.

Then moving forward I can defiantly start changing source code, but as a starting point I want to understand the concept, I am fairly comfortable programming but have no knowledge about the block chain or Ethereum project (I off course have the non programmer point of view about Ethereum, but for now that's about it).

I’ve sent 13,631 SALT tokens to a ZRX smart contract address. What can I do?

    https://etherscan.io/address/0xe41d2489571d322189246dafa5ebde1f4699f498#tokentxns

I've sent 13,631 SALT tokens to the ZRX smart contract address. Is there any way i can retrieve my tokens?

I really hope to recover it immediately but if that's not possible, will the 0x team implement erc223 standard to resolve such situations?

Wondering if anyone's had similar experiences, and how it was resolved.

Frankly I'm pretty terrified right now... Even a word of support might be helpful.

    Please help.

If fees get low(er) and attackers intentionally spam the network, what is the solution?

    Posted: 23 Dec 2017 04:38 AM PST

Let's say scaling was "solved" and we were able to process 1k tx/s and fees were low, attackers could easily just spam the network and get it clogged. Yes, fees would go up untill it gets too expensive, however, the attack can just wait and repeat the action once they are low again and make the network unusable

Are there any solutions to this?

What do you guys think about ripple's idea with locking up xrp (in our case some ETH) per created address so the attacker can't create infinite amount of addresses and send the funds to himself.
