    Interesting news from Korean community

    Posted: 29 Dec 2017 09:03 AM PST

There are rumors in Korean crypto currency forums - saying that:

    1. China will open exchanges in 2018, but the main cryptocurrency will be BCH, not BTC (to trade alt-coins)
    2. There will be CNYT to against USDT
    3. ICO will be (still) strictly banned

I am not sure this information is 100% legit, but I want to share this with you guys since I know English and Korean both. Thanks.

The reason for the spike in price today

    Posted: 29 Dec 2017 10:17 AM PST

It is not a pump and dump. This is a long term economic bending trend due to Bitmain deciding that BCH is the superior way of accepting payment for ASIC mining hardware.

Obviously, this is not an exclusive reason because everyone has their own reason for buying BCH, but the spike was the same time that Bitmain released a batch of L3 miners.

    https://shop.bitmain.com/productDetail.htm?pid=000201712292046268973Wu6SKab069A

This is not new as they have done this for the last several batches, and this is a trend that doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon.

I hope this helps anyone investigating the reason for the price increase.

"No fees shapeshifting/changelly" coming to LocalBitcoinCash soon!

    Posted: 29 Dec 2017 11:58 AM PST

"No fees shapeshifting/changelly" is coming to https://LocalBitcoinCash.org/ soon. We will be using Bitcoin Cash as the base currency. All swaps must be done through Bitcoin Cash so someone swapping DASH to Litecoin will be Dash To BCH first and then BCH to Litecoin. The whole point is to lower the barrier for people to trade any altcoins into Bitcoin Cash or into fiats, converting them into Bitcoin Cash users even if they were previously anti-BCH.

People wanting to convert their altcoins into fiat anywhere in the world can do so easily without an exchange by trading their altcoins to BCH and then sell their BCH into fiat to other users through P2P.

Ideally, we're trying to develop Bitcoin Cash into a standard malleable currency linking every countries fiat with all supported altcoins and vice versa. This makes holding on to BCH many times more valuable because it's the most useful malleable currency. That's what we hope to achieve anyway but lots of work needs to be done and we're tied down by lack of resources. I understand some users may have frustrations on the UI/UX of the site but we're doing our best to improve on them. LBCH was out for 2 months 15 days now and we definitely need more time.

I hope we can go live with those new features within the next few days. When we go live, we will start with just BTC/ETH/LTC/DASH and add other coins over the coming weeks. We will definitely have serious liquidity problems at the start so just take note not to bid crazy rates like BCH for $8500. We have added some protection as well to prevent people making accidental trades like 1 ETC for 100 BCH.

To help out with our expenses, there will be withdrawal fees soon. Will keep you all updated!

    How to accept bitcoin cash?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2017 08:26 AM PST

I'd like to start accepting BCH for an online business that sells digital products.

Currently we are using normal credit card processing.

People visit a sales page, then continue to an order page where they enter their personal information and pay with their card.

I would like a similar process, but with much less personal information. Just their email.

The products should be priced in USD and show the user a quote in BCH with the appropriate exchange rate + a time limit by which they need to pay.

Once the transaction comes in, it should wait until it has at least one(?) confirmations and then execute a web hook that will add the purchase to our CRM and deliver the product.

Are there any systems that can do this right now? I saw bitpay allows you to accept BCH, but it converts it to USD and sends it to your bank account... what's the point in that?

Bitcoin Cash is best positioned to be the #1 everyday cryptocurrency. It is the only one supported by both Coinbase & Bitpay, and also have a low transaction fee.

Hello, I am currently very confused on how to buy BitcoinCash. When I search up Reddit posts, all I get for explanations are bits and pieces of how to do it.

Can someone please explain to me on a step by step basis how it's done (cheapest fees/fastest) please?

    Bitcoin Cash Merchant Options?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2017 01:36 PM PST

I run a small game where the players have had the option to use BTC to help support the game for a few years now. It doesn't get much use but has been very easy and convenient for the few early BTC adopters that used it.

As the payment amounts tend to be relatively small ($100 would be a large payment) the BTC option is pretty much worthless right now. I would like to provide a Bitcoin Cash option instead but other than posting an address and tracking it manually by asking people to email me with their txid, the options seem limited. Coinbase don't support it and Bitpay don't yet either.

Are there any other options anyone on here can recommend? I really don't care about the politics of one coin vs another, I just want to give my players an option that doesn't cost them $20-$30 total to send me $10! As those who were previously using BTC are likely to have some BCH it seems like the next best solution.

    Thanks!

What Exchange Should I Use Now?

    Posted: 29 Dec 2017 12:40 AM PST

Hi, I am in the EU and first I signed up to Coinbase, which was cancer as people said. So I went through the trouble with signing up to Bitstamp. Now waited too long to get verified and saw that Bitstamp is having huge problems even with deposits and withdrawals. So what now? I feel like this isn't worth it.

    Posted: 29 Dec 2017 11:00 AM PST

It seems to me, looking at the stats, that everyone will be using Ripple. And increasingly Monero for secrecy. So what will be the point of BCH ? I'm trying to justify buying more BCH with my BTC, but I can't see the logic.

[Help] Getting BCH from BTC Paper Wallet Pre-fork

    Posted: 29 Dec 2017 10:37 AM PST

I think I may have messed up. I imported my private key into electrum that was established pre-fork. Unfortunately, I sent my whole BTC to a new paper wallet before I swept the private key into a BCH wallet. The transaction is still unconfirmed but when I try to sweep my original private key into BCH wallet, it is showing in Coinomi as zero funds. Am I completely effed to getting any BCH now?
