Bread Ethereum beta - Come help us test Ethereum in Bread!

    Posted: 21 Nov 2017 04:14 PM PST

I'm thrilled to announce that we are ready to start beta testing Ethereum support for Bread on iOS devices. If you'd like to start testing Ethereum on Bread please join our beta using this form.

NOTE: This is an extremely early test, so please don't send your life savings to your Bread yet. It also lacks things like exchange rate support and doesn't currently display pending transactions. That being said we've been using it for a few weeks and the currently exposed functionality should be quite stable.

This beta will install over your existing Bread app, so if you had one before, it will replace that app. The Bitcoin support is the same as the app store, so it's completely safe. Your ethereum account is derived from your paper key, so the same 12-word phrase provides access to both Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Call for Devs and Partners for the new Synapse Marketplace - Decentralized AI

    Posted: 20 Nov 2017 11:14 PM PST

Hi everyone! We've finished up the first version of the Synapse decentralized AI marketplace well ahead of schedule, and we're reaching out to the community to join in and help out.

We're on the look out for two things:

    1. Developers: We're launching both the bug bounty, and developer's fund. What is the bug bounty? We want you to help pen test our contract for fun and profit. What is the developer's fund? We want to use the proceeds from our raise to help fund any ideas that can leverage our network, or that complement what we've built. We're all about that decentralized/distributed future for everyone.

    2. Partners: We've got a load of data and ml partners lined up that we're going to be announcing. We would love more to make this really robust. If you know someone that might be interested in partnering up, let us know.

You can check out our page for additional details here: https://synapse.ai/marketplace

Hit me up with any questions and I'll answer them throughout the evening and morning.

How to make MyEtherWallet safer & easier to use

    Posted: 21 Nov 2017 01:44 PM PST

    Go to https://github.com/kvhnuke/etherwallet/releases/latest

    Download the etherwallet-vX.X.X.X.zip file.

Move it to wherever you want to keep it on your computer and extract the contents.

Open up your browser and create a new bookmark. For the URL, simply but the file path to the index.html file inside the etherwallet-vX.X.X.X folder.

What it looks like in Chrome

Boom, you now have an easy to access bookmark to your offline version of MyEtherWallet. Not only are you safe from visiting the wrong site, you're safe from the legitimate site ever being compromised.

Would repealing net neutrality be a catalyst for growth for ethereum/blockchain tech? (opinion)

    Posted: 21 Nov 2017 10:28 AM PST

I feel like this could be a long term win for decentralized dApps. telecom companies may win in the short term, but that lack of choice could drive consumers to seek alternatives and spur innovation here, and maybe we could see growth in things like Althea or other decentralized ISPs.

My opinion is that this could be the thing that kills ISPs in the long term. I don't know enough about the tech Thoughts? Is there a feasible way to have de-centralized ownership over internet exchange points and offer services to consumers? or Would you need to lay entirely new infrastructure? Or a way abandon the old ICANN and IANA way of doing things for something new?
