Bittrex withdrawal limit down to 0.4 BTC per day?

    Posted: 26 Nov 2017 02:29 AM PST

Was it always this low or did these assholes lower it recently?

Really frightening these exchanges that will let you deposit any amount but not withdraw and it I guess lower the limit at any time without notice or warning.

    Awful.

Is the concentration of Dragon Ball Z memes on /r/Bitcoin an indication of extreme euphoria and likely some kind of short/medium term top in the price of BTC?

    Posted: 26 Nov 2017 03:24 AM PST

    I think potentially, yes.

It will be interesting to see if we power through right to $10K.

Why do people believe bitfinex is close to insolvency?

    Posted: 25 Nov 2017 11:15 PM PST

Can someone explain to me why you think that bitfinex is close to insolvency. Because I can't really believe a company that generates a million dollars through fees each day is able to go insolvent as people will continue to lend to them.

So with this new explosion in BTC price...what’s everyone’s sell limit?

    Posted: 26 Nov 2017 08:48 AM PST

There's got to be dip coming up. BTC is up over $3500 in the last month. The growth is too soon and too fast in my opinion. I'm adjusting my sell limit as we hit ATHs but I think if it falls $700-800 I think there has to be an imminent correction, but likely not sub $7k.

    Fake Satoshi Slips Up Again

    This is too funny.

"Bcash uses "bitcoin" because they want to benefit from the brand recognition when they don't support nor believe in the actual brand."

This can be said for each of the B-Forks we've seen.

Anyone impelled to name-police a short hand to reap misleading brand benefits has lost.

Interesting how quickly the tides change in crypto.

How could the CME Futures decide/manipulate the BTC price? Isn't the other way around usually?

    Posted: 26 Nov 2017 12:33 AM PST

In stock markets isn't the index value to decide the Futures price? How come we are scared of CME Futures on BTC? Thank you for clarifying

What’s driving the bulls, besides speculation

    Posted: 25 Nov 2017 04:30 PM PST

Honest question here, what's driving the bulls?

How is this not 100% speculation?

Too bullish month, when the dip is coming?

    Posted: 25 Nov 2017 05:24 PM PST

We have been living an extraordinary bullish month which is good but not normal. How big can be the crash because the market can't go up forever

How high can Bitcoin realistically go?

    Posted: 25 Nov 2017 07:15 PM PST

Keeping in mind the low number of coins (along with the amount that are forever lost in cyberspace) and all of the other properties that make Bitcoin special, how high do we see it going in 2-3 years? At this point $10k is basically in the bag. Could we do a 5x in 2018 to get to $50k? What about $100k in 2019? Will there be enough hype and fomo for people to keep buying Bitcoin at $50k even though they can only afford small fractions of it? Would people still take out loans to buy Bitcoin at $80k?

Its hard to imagine Bitcoin increasing at it's current rate for the next few months/years without any slowdown. At some point the hype and fomo will die out. However keeping in mind all of the unique properties of Bitcoin it almost has to reach the same market cap as Gold.

Here is a good way to gauge institutional interest in trading & holding BTC

    Posted: 25 Nov 2017 08:48 PM PST

    http://data.ledgerx.com/

The data listed has different contracts. The contracts settle in real BTC units being delivered to the client.

There's interesting contracts on there, but I particularly look at the daily swap contract, as well as the contract called: BTC 2018-12-28 Call $10000.00

The 1 year above, are particularly interesting because it's basically saying "secure this btc for me at this date, and i'll pay a higher premium vs buying at current market price". On the date of the contract, the buyer has a option to buy or not. This contract would be preferable for big money to guarantee the acquisition of BTC, even by paying a premium.

The daily swap contract is a great way to judge trading volume for market price.

I mention this because everyone has been talking about CBOE and CME launching cash settled futures, it would be interesting to see volume for cash settled vs physically settled.

Exchange arbitrage opportunity - what's going on here? GDAX / Gemini

    Posted: 25 Nov 2017 08:07 PM PST

    https://imgur.com/a/sfhH7

Curious what others think when they see something like this. Both screenshots taken at the exact same time.

Even factoring in exchange fees (disregarding the fact that GDAX allows you place free limit orders) there seems to be a huge difference here and no one seems to be taking advantage of it? Am I missing something here?

Gemini always seems to be trading behind GDAX. I wouldn't even mind if someone closed this gap.

Where can I buy/sell bitcoins as a Romanian

    Posted: 25 Nov 2017 03:59 PM PST

New to the whole thing, I guess I'm looking to buy low then sell high. Got some spare money and I want to know that I at least tried even if the investment goes bad.

It looks like Coinbase is not an option for Romanians. Any recommendations? Also is the bank you work with going to matter?

Now that normies are into bitcoin and CCs , is it time to jump ship and focus on stuff which will have normies all over it in say 5-7 years?

    Posted: 26 Nov 2017 05:27 AM PST

It's uneasy to share a position (long btc) with some of fools you'd find in subreddits and chatrooms these days. Is it time to look somewhere else for a bigger multiplier? I mean something concrete and tangible like producing a good or delivering a service which would be in high demand in the future (5-7 years) opposed to a currency with a limited value proposition?
