I have the same OC settings applied to all 3 of my 5700XTs (sync'd) However one of them, my red devil, will regularly lose the OC after an hour or two and drop to 49Mh/s, spike up to 61°C, and wattage goes way up. AKA no OC settings at all.

    Like I said the 5700XTs are sync'd so I don't get it.

I have the riser & card pairs coming from the same PSU. Mobo & 2 5700XTs on one, other 5700XT & 1070Ti on the other.

The Red Devil giving me trouble is a part of the pair of 5700XTs, not paired with the 1070Ti

I've uninstalled AfterBurner and reinstalled after it was making my PC laggy and crash, started OCs from scratch, no settings saved.

Yet still this problem persists. Any insight would be helpful.

Is the BTC-S37 (or similar) a good place to start with a first rig

    Posted: 30 Nov 2021 03:13 PM PST

Seeing trying to do things in my home PC is a mess I am going to start from scratch and build my first rig. Nothing like entering the mining world at 51 years old :D

I see that the S37 comes with a CPU and little fan already and it seems I just need some DDR3 memory and then bang in an OS to it (windows 10 or HiveOS or the like).

Is that a good starting point that I can then look at something more complex when I am more comfortable when this whole process.

Love to hear the thoughts of the community and if the S37 is actually still valid or there is something else to look at.

    Thanks

1080ti not working. Fans won't even spin on boot up. Oven?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2021 01:00 PM PST

I bought a used 1080ti and the guy jipped me. It's not working and he deleted his online profile and offerup has not responded. Now that I have this $500 brick, I was thinking of trying to fix it. I've seen a lot online about removing the plastic parts and baking it in an oven at 200 for 10 minutes (supposed to "re-solder" potentially bad connections, etc. Comments sections have lots of people saying this has worked for them, has anyone tried it?

I'm open to suggestions. I also heard cleaning it with wd-40 is a good idea. I'm thinking of trying wd-40 cleaning first, and if that doesn't work open it up and bake it. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Just bought a RTX 3090 for 1500 Euros...

    Posted: 30 Nov 2021 02:21 PM PST

KEK. I guess the old dude on Amazon didnt know what he was selling. Some german Amazon shop that normally sells tools sold a barely used RTX 3090 for 1500 Euros. Snagged it like a scalper.

I almost feel sorry for the guy. KEK

Mods: Please dont delete. I want to show the fellas here that they could still find killer deals for GPUs. Just be patient and continue the search.
