2 machines each with 3080Ti, each running new TRex duel miner for LHR, ETH-RAV, different results. Posted: 10 Oct 2021 06:01 AM PDT Like the title says. First machine gets 35MH ETH + 35MH RAV [LHR 29] and stays there indefinitely. Second one gets the same for an hour then slowly drops ( to [LHR 16]) eventually getting ~19 ETH + 45 RAV. Same OC setting. Same temps. Same pools. Same drivers. Same Gigabyte model. Both windows10. What could be causing this difference? One machine has a ryzen and the other an intel CPU, but that would matter, would it? [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Oct 2021 07:45 AM PDT Can I buy this and use one of their breakout boards? I am tired of buying 1200w PSU. What are my options for high powered PSU compatible with their boards? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Msi ventus gtx 1660 OC settings? Posted: 10 Oct 2021 07:11 AM PDT Hello! I have an msi ventus gtx 1660 dual fan gpu. I mine btc with it with nicehash and I use the nicehash optimization called high. Im getting 21-21,5 mh/s. Any idea with overclock settings? The card is 47 celcius and 60 celcius on its hottest spot. I have a 600w chieftec smart psu. [link] [comments]

Radeon software vram slider stuck Posted: 09 Oct 2021 09:24 PM PDT After oc my GPU on Radeon software my vram slider is stuck to the left no matter what I set it at including max. I have 2 xfx 6800 xt and the issue is with 1 of them that needs a lower then max vram. I have tried the reset button on Radeon and have reinstalled Radeon software . Still the problem occurs. Even after reinstallation. I use team red miner and I'm not sure if I can change vram settings in the software. I also don't know much about using msi afterburner with trm. I may look into that but for now I am trying to use Radeon software. I have 3 cards on current rig; 2 xfx 6700 xt and 1 xfx 6800 xt. They all use max vram settings and get great hash rates.. 47 47 and 63.5. While using the software I notice the vram setting was all the way to the left and I couldn't move it even by typing a lower number in. It didn't matter because the cards ran at full vram anyway until now. I recently got a new 6800xt and I set the same settings and was getting around 7-10 mhs. I couldn't lower the vram because after I initially set the card it locks in place. In order to change vram settings I have to reinstall Radeon software . I did this took off all my gpus but the 6800xt I was having an issue with and started vram very low around 1900. Hash rate still bad but once I got into the 2000 I was going up. At 2090 it was around 61 mhs. At 2100 it dropped to the 10 mhs . Radeon allows me to go up and down while doing this. As soon as I restart my computer to add another gpu it it locks the vram in place and I can only increase it but not decrease it . Does anyone know a way to fix this issue? Also does this mean this card is bad? It's been running for 2 or 3 hours and they just crashed both 6800 xt. Ive never had an issue before with it crashing . I'm going to lower the vram to 2050 but the has is going to be probably 60 or less. Thanks [link] [comments]

Any CCX miners out there? What's your setup? Posted: 09 Oct 2021 09:12 PM PDT Seeing the rise of CCX profitability out there, wondering what people are using for wallets, miners, and pools. [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Oct 2021 12:14 PM PDT How's it going miners 🙌🏻 So I hopefully will be starting mining with a basic setup of one single 3090. Got an experienced fella who's charging around $120 for assembling the hardware plus setting up the Hive OS. The only problem being that he refuses to do it at my place and is telling me to give him all the components for 2 days for assembly and test runs and I DON'T FEEL OKAY WITH AT ALL. So my question is just how difficult would it be to setup a single 3090? Would I be able to do myself by doing a deep dive research and watching videos etc? Or should I search for another person who holds the experience? EDIT: wow. I'm overwhelmed by the encouraging responses! Never really expected it. Thanks everyone! 🤲🏻 [link] [comments]
14 Gigabyte RTX 3080 vs 1 ASIC S9 Pro Posted: 10 Oct 2021 04:58 AM PDT Assuming I got 14 3080's for $1000 retail price each, $14k Vs 1 ASIC S9 Pro which goes for $14k at the moment. Which would be a better power bang for my buck for mining BITCOIN? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Oct 2021 06:35 PM PDT It's $80 CAD so it's super cheap right now and would be perfect for keeping costs low but if it won't be good for 6-8 cards then I'd appreciate another recommendation [link] [comments]
How many GPU does a i3-2100 support? Posted: 10 Oct 2021 12:01 AM PDT I'm suddenly paranoid about this. I have 5 cards going off an i3-2100 and an old biostar mobo on my mining rig, 3 of them hooked up to a splitter. They all seem to be working and hashing, but something seems off. I swear pay is lower than my quick mental math entails. [link] [comments]

Mining while electricity is free Posted: 09 Oct 2021 02:16 PM PDT I am staying in my universities dorm which provides free electricity and a 1000mbit internet. I only have a gtx1060 but thought to myself since electricity is free I still should make some money especially due to my countries local currency. Any suggestions? I am thinking of eth pools but would appreciate anything at all. Thanks [link] [comments]
RTX 3060 and the 470.05 driver Posted: 09 Oct 2021 10:21 PM PDT I've searched around but couldn't find the answer, sorry if I missed it. Does the 470.05 driver still unlock newer RTX 3060s (rev 2 etc) when plugged into the PCIE 16x slot and hooked up to a monitor, or is that only for older editions? And if it doesn't work for newer ones, is there a way of identifying the ones that it does work for, to avoid buying the wrong one? Thanks. [link] [comments]
What is "Equilibria(XEQ)" or "Conceal(CCX)", and why does Whattomine.com say it's profitable? Posted: 09 Oct 2021 02:32 PM PDT I've heard that some pools give out bonuses for mining specific coins, but outside of that, i cannot fathom why these two coins are profitable. The math isn't there if you break down the numbers. Am i missing something? [link] [comments]
Issue with new ASUS gpu just dropping out constantly on HiveOS. Posted: 09 Oct 2021 03:53 PM PDT Just purchased an ASUS RTX 3060ti KO OC edition. Updated drivers to latest and greatest, and it started mining right away no issue. 5 minutes later the hashrate dropped to 0. I rebooted the rig, reset OC settings to default just to be safe, updated flight sheets & rebooted again. After each reboot the card comes to life, however within minutes it seems to just drop hash all together & does not come back. Currently mining on NBminer, here's my overview. Fairly new to mining, but I've done a lot of troubleshooting & am stumped. Here's my overview for reference. All my other cards don't have this issue & just crank away. Have also encountered a few GPU HANG errors with this card stopping all mining. Any help is appreciated, thanks gang. Edit: Just changed PCIE slots, its cranking away right now. Going to see what happens, might be a bad slot in MB. Edit2: Didn't seem to solve the issue, hashrate tanked to 28 while my other ti is going at 40-42 constantly no drops. Edit3: Actually it seems to have stabilized now, just going to keep an eye on it. Any other ideas? My psu is the HP 1200 platinum server PSU, and am no where near maxing this thing out. Posted: 09 Oct 2021 09:28 PM PDT Hey, so my dad was asking me about getting into mining cause he knows I'm into crypto, but all my portfolio is in proof of stake so I'm not super knowledgeable on mining, I told him it's not really worth mining here in Australia because electricity is so expensive that we'd be likely to just break even if we tried (or potentially even lose money) but then he explained how he has a large set of solar panels and is away working on a mine 4 days week and thus earners a surplus of power that the electricity company pays him 7 cents per kW for (or some other unit it's probably not kW) and then they sell his 7 cents of power for a giant markup to someone else on the grid. He says he only uses 25% of the power he generates. Anyway that sounded like something we could work with. Do you guys think a mining endeavour like this will be profitable all? (not to get rich but just to pay off the rig and give us a bit of surplus, whilst also giving the finger to the power company) [link] [comments]
