Posted: 18 Oct 2021 09:52 AM PDT First, I want you guys to know that this post is not a financial advice, I just want to tell my opinion about this topic. I've been in crypto for more than 2 years, and I've witnessed almost all the important events that took place in this market. I made money and lost a few deals as well, but one thing I can surely tell is that this is the best place to learn lessons the hard way. I've also been investing in the stock market for some time. Unfortunately, I was one of the investors who used Robinhood. Earlier this year, Rh restricted all the transactions on GME, and hundreds of investors lost their money. I was one of those people, and it was the last time I ever decide to trade on this exchange. I mean centralized exchanges don't care about their investors' benefits. They just want their numbers to keep growing, and to increase their brand awareness around the world, everything else they tell you is a lie. The case I mentioned has made me lose almost half my capital, and I've been trying to recover that since then. Recently I applied for a decentralized exchange that's launching next month I believe called Merrymen, because they're allocating a percentage of their tokens to investors who were harmed by Robinhood. This is what trusting shady exchanges can result. What I want to say is that we, as investors, need to do our researches and to take everything into consideration before investing in any trading platform. Decentralized exchanges want to prove themselves and want their names to be up, this is why I expect them to be delivering the best services in the market. Meanwhile, platforms like Robinhood think they're too big to fail, and would surely keep on doing what they do. [link] [comments] |
