Update on the 5 Part Latin America Flipstarter

Please forgive me if this feels like I'm bombarding r/btc but I wanted to post this for visibility sake. I'd hate for people who funded me not get an update because they didn't see my tweet / or noise.

I posted an update on my Flipstarter which you can read here. I will be posting more updates on my Noise.cash - and not again on Reddit (to prevent me from flooding r/btc with too many posts and getting annoying for the readers here...) Still I think it's important to post an update here at least once.

The TL;DR is:

2 of my 5 videos are done.
I've decided to double down, and produce 10 total videos instead of the promised 5.
My "Bitcoin Beach" video is making big waves and ranking SUPER high on YT (ranks higher than Vice, and even the official Bitcoin beach youtube channel.
I intend to get all 10 videos filmed, edited, and posted before 2022.

I'd be thrilled to hear your feedback, comments, tips or suggestions. Thank you all for your vote of confidence in your funding my flipstarter.

My experience using CoinFLEX

Used CoinFLEX today to get onto smartBCH. I found the website to be full of bugs and strange behavior. Behavior that you don't expect from a professional exchange. It's hard to have confidence in an exchange when they do so many things poorly. Im not looking forward to using them again.

My experience:

Trying to withdraw as a user (no metamask) without 2FA will be an endles loop of popups for skipping 2FA at the withdraw submission. Ened up having to set up 2FA to withdraw which isnt required
Trying to do a max withdrawal (less than $10k) gave an error message of "Account is too high risk". Eventually the system accepted my withdrawal after i broke it up
Deposit address creation broken for most of the day
No mention of smartBCH, or the bridge, anywhere notable on the site
Not a single buyer on the order book for ETH spot. Spot exchange is a ghost town.
Can't sell ETH spot (perhaps others) past 2 decimals

Other things: Confusing menu, percentage sells does not have a 100% (50%, 75%, 200%), does not show confirmation requirements/transfers in progress, no support tickets

What's the easiest way to split my BCH and BCHABC?

I've had my BCH on my Ledger for the past couple years, and it was on my Ledger during the split with ABC and Amaury.

I never did anything to split my coins, because I am not very technical.

Is there any easy way for me to still split my BCH and BCHABC? For example, is there an exchange I can send my BCH and it will somehow recognize both coins and credit my account with both? I basically want to just dump the ABC coin for more BCH because it pumped like 100% today.

I'm saddened to announce that Detoken will be closing its doors on the 4th September 2021.

There are several factors that influenced our decision to close the Detoken platform. The main reason is that it's become increasingly apparent that Detoken's business model cannot continue to work given the changing regulatory outlook on cryptocurrency derivatives.

I've always been a firm believer in financial freedom and privacy, but in order to continue operating Detoken in its current form we'd be forced to introduce know your customer identity checks sooner or later. Unfortunately, the sad reality is that all players in the industry will have to make the same hard decisions about changing their business model or introducing these difficult and friction-inducing checks.

We started Detoken with the vision of creating a peer-to-peer, decentralised and free market, and collecting such information about our customers would go against this ethos and damage the customer experience.

Due to changing market conditions and other opportunities in the market, the founding team no longer has the motivation to continue and try to overhaul Detoken's business and governance model to maintain the same customer experience that we have today.
