CoinMetro holds trading volume competition with $10K in prizes

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 02:31 PM PDT

CoinMetro is a smaller exchange, they do about €1M in daily volume, though liquidity is good and spreads are pretty tight (external mm's) on majors and few alts, microcaps and some other alts have larger spreads.

The contest is running at the same time as the Olympics, so for about 2 weeks, starting tomorrow.

Considering the low overal volume of the exchange, if you churn a large amount of daily volume, you might make a decent shot at one of the prizes. Here's the link: CoinMetro Olympics.

Full disclosure: I hold a small stack of their exchange token.

Gemini announced that they have listed Tez (XTZ).

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 05:03 AM PDT

Tezos is now listed on the first regulated platform in New York! Tezos is the native coin of the Tezos ecosystem, which is one of the longest-running Proof of Stake blockchains. Tezos is an open-source platform backed by a worldwide community of validators, academics, and builders that tackles fundamental hurdles to blockchain adoption for assets and applications. Tezos is built with long-term upgradability, open participation, cooperation, and smart contract security in mind.
For those who don't know, Tez (XTZ) is the Tezos network's native coin. Tezos is a blockchain network that uses Liquid Proof of Stake and is open source. Tezos, being a Layer 1 protocol, allows developers to build sophisticated apps utilizing tools that support a wide range of programming languages, including Javascript, Golang, and Python. Music labels, NFT performers, athletic franchises, central banks, real estate developers, and others. So good job gemini for listing Tez!
For USD trading pairs, trading for XTZ will first be available via their FIX/REST APIs and ActiveTraderTM application. Trading for USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, HKD, and SGD pairings will then begin on their Gemini Mobile App and website.
Tezos promotes innovation to ensure long-term viability and scalability as crypto usage grows throughout the world.
I noticed that Tezos is really upping their game. I've recently noticed their advertisements on brave browser, which is fantastic!

Hi everyone, I hope this resonates with some people.

I got in to crypto February (a noob I know). It doesn't seem like a long time but honestly for the past 6 months I've been seriously depressed and I didn't realise at the time but crypto is why.

It consumed my life. Watching 2+ hours of crypto YouTube videos per day - on the way to work, in the toilet and in the evening.

Constantly gutted that I missed a pump or got in late. Chasing new coins and microcaps. The lure was seeing success stories and thinking this really could be my way out of the rat race.

I made a bit, I lost a bit. But what really hits home is how depressed I was without knowing and how it negatively effected my performance at my proper job, my training/exercise and the rest of my life.

The fog lifted after a month of this current crash as I have been cashed out for some time.

I have learnt a lot and finally feel like the weight is off my shoulders. Although when we get a green day I still feel the fomo and emotions come back.

I hope this helps some people next time we are in bull mode. But I have made a promise to myself to not do what I did again and hope you don't either.

Instead, I have decided to DCA BTC, ETH, ADA once a week on the same day for the next 5 years.

I have deleted YouTube, Twitter and soon reddit will come. I will not deviate from that plan and I promise to myself to treat crypto like this.

We treat stocks in this way (set and forget and recurring top ups) but for some reason crypto tries to suck you in.

    Don't let it. Remove yourself.

I wasted 6 precious months of my life but I did learn a lesson and I won't do it again. The 1% do get lucky but for most of us, just work hard and enjoy life. Pick a FEW great coins maximum, and use this as a nice side savings account.

    Peace homies ✌️

    Particl released v3 Testnet

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 01:50 PM PDT

Particl is developing the Particl Open Marketplace - private e-commerce platform...

Particl Open Marketplace is Fully decentralized and completely private, it is built with proven P2P and blockchain technologies, creating the world's most private, secure and affordable online platform for buyers and sellers.

Open Marketplace is poised to disrupt eCommerce with its ability to directly connect vendors and buyers at virtually no cost for either party. Its entirely decentralized and autonomous architecture creates a friction-free marketplace, allowing anyone to safely buy products and services online and pay for them using cryptocurrencies.

Integrated directly into the Particl Desktop, Particl's flagship client, the Open Marketplace was designed to provide an easy, intuitive user experience for crypto experts and newcomers alike. From there, both buyers and sellers will benefit from a highly efficient and affordable P2P platform that delivers on Bitcoin's original promise by eliminating third parties from the picture.

Since vendors do not need to pay any fees to the Particl Open Marketplace (except for a small anti-spam listing fee), buyers can realize savings of up to 40% as compared to traditional online marketplaces. Highlight features of the Particl Open Marketplace eCommerce experience include:

    · No fees for buyers, and virtually no fees for sellers

    · No identifiable data generated or collected by any 3rd-party

    · No registration or account creation

    · Full escrow support

    · Untraceable currency transactions

The Particl Open Marketplace is powered by Particl's PART privacy cryptocurrency asset. Additional confidence is inspired by the marketplace's fee-less and decentralized escrow, which integrates the fully anonymized RingCT privacy protocol and doesn't rely on any third party for issues to be resolved. Based on the Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) game-theory, the Particl Open Marketplace escrow system requires both sellers and buyers to enter a 2-party smart-contract. Payments and security deposits are refunded, in full and without any fee, to the participants when both of them mark the transaction as complete.

Since there is no third-party controlling the platform, moderation of the Particl Open Marketplace is achieved through a completely decentralized governance mechanism. Similar to the Reddit model, anyone in the community can flag undesirable content on a one PART coin = one vote basis.

The Particl Open Marketplace breaks boundaries in eCommerce, introducing the first privacy-focused decentralised marketplace of its kind.

Concerns about online privacy and data harvesting have never run deeper than they do today. With the extreme privacy, security, and affordability of the Particl Open Marketplace, buyers and sellers are regaining control of their eCommerce experience.

Using a combination of P2P and blockchain technologies, the Particl Open Marketplace is able to provide a verifiably private shopping experience that ensures no user data can be created or collected by any party other than the one you are transacting with.

The Particl protocol also brings the cost of buying and selling online to the bare minimum as no central entity has the ability to charge fees.

    About Particl

Particl is a privacy-focused ecosystem based on P2P/blockchain technologies. It is composed of three main components:

    1. a privacy coin capable of untraceable/unlinkable transactions,
    2. a private, decentralized online marketplace where anyone can

buy and sell goods and services for cryptocurrencies without leaving a trace, and

    1. a platform on which various applications can be integrated and interacted with.

    Particl, founded in July 2017

    Investment tiers are straight BS…

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 03:37 PM PDT

Platforms that do this are literally just cash grabs. They leave no space for the majority of investors like you and me to have a fair chance. Instead they offer the 1% all the benefits.

And now some geezer is gonna come out of nowhere and say "well bigger investors deserve bigger rewards" yeah in the STOCK MARKET. We literally left the stock market cause the 1% were controlling everything and now the same practice followed us here.

So sad to see that most platforms are doing this and only a select few like Genesis Pool still stand with the old ways and have no such thing as "tiers"

The only way we can mitigate this issue is to simply not invest in companies with stupid ideas for their own quick profits…
