Can Litecoin Dominate Monero On Privacy?

    Posted: 31 May 2021 03:55 PM PDT

After reading the following article it seems like Litecoin could be considered a privacy coin. Given LTC's ability to scale and Monero's refusal to scale, it seems like LTC can kill Monero. I'd love to hear some thoughts.

Where does litecoind store the full node files?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 06:36 PM PDT

I am spinning up a tool which runs a full node, but i was trying to figure out the default directory where the node lives. I have a fresh ubuntu install, and downloaded the current litecoin full node. I didnt know if it was stored in a DBMS or if it was stored as static files. I was wanting to download the full node, to do some testing. Figured after it is _generally_ up to date, I could grep for some addresses or things like that.

*EDIT* It appears to exist under ~/.litecoin/

*EDIT 2* if you want it, you can use docker. fallenreaper/ltc-full-node

You can run it by: docker run -d --name ltc-full-node fallenreaper/ltc-full-node and it will essentially start pulling everything. If you want to persist the data, add the volume tag, and instead of PATH, use the abs path of where you want it stored. docker run -d --name ltc-full-node -v "PATH:/root/.litecoin" fallenreaper/ltc-full-node
