    ERC stands for Ethereum Request for Comments and is followed by a number. This number will indicate what the token is capable of doing, and how it will interact with smart contracts and other dapps: Understanding Ethereum Tokens

    • ERC-20 - the most popular of the Ethereum token standards (used by BNB, USDT, LINK)
    • ERC-223 - incorporate tokenFallback technology which ensures that should the token be sent to a smart contract that does not work with that particular type of token, the tokens are returned to the original address.
    • ERC-721 - are non-fungible tokens (NFT), that cannot be replaced or replicated, can represent ownership over an asset.
    • ERC-777 - a revised version of ERC-20 with features like offering users more control over their tokens and allowing operators to send tokens on behalf of other addresses.

    What is Akropolis:

    Akropolis is a DeFi yield farming and Dollar Cost Averaging (coming soon) tool that offers synthetic savings and high yield "accounts" aimed at DeFi-curious users with no deep technical knowledge and some understanding of Ethereum and crypto. Akropolis was built by the Akropolis team and is the second product built on AkropolisOS.

    DCA (in progress):

    Dollar-cost average is a popular strategy in traditional finance and the crypto community. To put it simply - it is automated, periodic purchases of an asset (commonly referred to as "stacking sats" in BTC community). Regardless of the asset, the DCA strategy has always been to invest periodically (weekly, monthly, etc) in an effort to reduce the impact of volatility on the overall purchase price/cost basis.     So today TotemFi went public after a pre-sale on Gate.io last night. As you can see on the chart, it rose over 900% in one minute once it listed on Uniswap. I don't have extensive knowledge on the ERC-20 network, so I'm curious as to what might be at play.

    This is the Uniswap market price and I'm sure most of you know, slippage is a thing when purchasing through a DEX. You typically don't want to go higher than 2% but of course its necessary with extremely new, volatile coins to go upwards of 12%. With bots running rampant you are sure to get front run but sometimes that's the price to play the game.

    My questions are:

    Is it even possible to buy in during a 900% one-minute spike?

    Is this all bots?

    How are transaction speeds affected during these crazy spikes?

    If you pay a premium on GWEI can you still get a quick confirmation?

    Heads Up! For those that trade on the Binance.US exchange... I just discovered their withdrawal fee chart on their desktop version.

    -go to Resources tab -go to Fees -under the bold word Fee Structure -click on Deposits & Withdrawal Fees & scroll down.

    There it gives you a breakdown of fees by asset... prepare to have your 🤯 ... some of the withdrawal fees are complete robbery! ie. minimum MATIC withdrawal is 90 -withdrawal fee is 45 MATIC

    ... BTW, you can not withdraw ADA & move to Coinbase Pro the addresses will not connect. -Cheers
