Posted: 03 Apr 2021 10:27 AM PDT Hi, guys! I am reaching out here in hope that maybe someone can help me. I bought some bitcoin in 2016. I sold them way to early, but recently I remembered that I still have bitcoin cash connected to the same wallet. I have the old seed, and am able to recover the wallet in electrum. When I click on ´information´, it says wallet type: "2fa", script type "p2sh", and it shows three keystores. I don't remember what kind of wallet I made when I set this up, but I know there is a registration on trustedcoin associated with the wallet, and I have the code from trustedcoin in my google authenticator. I have checked on bitcoin cash block explorer that the bitcoin cash is present on one of the adresses which I can see in the wallet. I have downloaded the electron-cash wallet. When I import the seed, I have to check the "Force BIP39 interpretation of this seed" to make it work. The wallet is then restored, but it doesn't show any bitcoin cash. The adresses are completely different. I am kind of lost here. I guess there is something about the derivation path or something that I haven't gotten right. What kind of derivation path should I use? I have tried both m/44´/0´/0´ and m/44´/145´/0. Is there another derivation path I could try? Can somebody guide me in the right direction? Are there any alternative to electron-cash, which supports this kind of 2fa seed from electrum wallet? Thanks for any help! Much appreciated. [link] [comments] | ||
