Is it possible to mine eth and rvn with 1 rig (3/3) with smOS Posted: 10 Mar 2021 05:46 AM PST Hello, I was wondering if it's possible to mine both eth and rvn with 1x6gpu rig? 3 gpus would be mining rvn, and 3 would be mining eth. I suppose it's possible with nicehash, and is probably doable with classic linux system, starting both claymore and kawpow miner and configuring them to use 0 1 2, and 3 4 5 respectively, but the system is already running smOS so if anyone has any suggestions, shoot. Thanks! [link] [comments]

Nanopool pool balance cleared, but not in my ETH wallet on Coinbase? Posted: 10 Mar 2021 06:21 AM PST Woke up this morning to my pool balance being 0 ETH, so I thought I had been paid out, went to the coinbase wallet and I haven't received anything? Sorry this is my first time I'm using awesome miner and I've quadruple checked the wallet address. And now while im mining its not adding eth to my unpaid balance? [link] [comments]
Posted: 09 Mar 2021 05:27 PM PST I have a question how do you guys keep your rigs cool in the summer. I'm new to mining and this will be my first summer and I live in SoCal so it gets pretty hot need some solid advice was thinking of doing a shed in the garage with an ac unit or getting a contractor to put in exhaust fan and attaching it to the shed. Not too sure what to do. [link] [comments]

how much should be virtual memory? Posted: 10 Mar 2021 08:29 AM PST for example for 4gpu with 6gb memory, how much i nust set in min and max virtual memory size? [link] [comments]
Question: Wait for 2mm & 3mm on amazon, or wait a month from AliExpress? Posted: 10 Mar 2021 08:26 AM PST And just to make sure, I only need 1 of each to repad a RTX 3080 Founders Edition? 3mm in the backplate, 2mm on the core/silicon side? I would be purchasing GELID 2mm and 3mm packets of Thermal pad. Sorry I botched the title. [link] [comments]

Building a first rig slowly with 3060ti. Advice on budget mining motherboard? Posted: 10 Mar 2021 04:49 AM PST Hi guys, I have a steady stream of new 3060ti available for the next few months, don't ask how lol. I want to go to at least 5 of them over the next couple years. I have ram, 16gb (2 x 8gb) ddr3 crucial ballistix, an Antec bp550 plus 550w modular psu, a couple of old i5 2400 lga 1155 processors and will improv on casing. What's the best budget board to go for do you all think? is there anything that is lga 1155 that's still usable these days? or do I need to forget using the i5 cpus? I have old motherboards that fit these, but I'm assuming that those mobos aren't going to be good for multiple gpus.....one is a Foxconn h61mxl-k [link] [comments]
how much cooling do hp server psus need at ~70% load? Posted: 10 Mar 2021 04:40 AM PST So i am using a couple of hp server psus for my rig. (DPS-1200FB-1 A). To keep noise somewhat down, -and sinceI have enough- they run at most at 50-60% load which makes the fans run relatively slow but it is still a bit annoying. i was thinking about replacing thei, with a quieter fan like a nocua a40x20 which would most likely still be quieter at 100% load but could only move around 5.5 cfm so I am trying to figure out if that would be enough or not. Posted: 09 Mar 2021 06:01 PM PST Let's say I start mining conflux. If I were to swap that out to BTC or ETH once I get paid, would it be better to use NiceHash instead since it automatically swaps it, and therefore having less fees? [link] [comments]
TIP: Solve for one GPU at random not mining Posted: 09 Mar 2021 02:11 PM PST I just experienced an odd issue that I wanted to share with you all. I added a new GPU and at random, one out of 4 would simply not mine. I was using nano miner and got no indication of what the problem was but when I switched to phoenix miner I received 'out of memory' errors. My cards all have 8 gigs or ram and I'm using the built in iGPU for video output while troubleshooting so I was really confused. I finally found a thread suggesting to increase the page file in windows and just like that I was at 100% usage on all GPU's. No issues to speak of. [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Mar 2021 11:04 PM PST Since I have a heavy GPU at work, I would love to mimne during my working hours, however I'm not going to install them on the PC of course. I would love to install them on USB's! But I noticed that Honeyminer for example doesn't work. Maybe it's just me? Which options do I have? [link] [comments] |
