Litecoin getting the attention it deserves Posted: 13 Feb 2021 04:03 AM PST Hey! First of all let me say that this is not a pump and dump/to the moon type of post, even though I am happy to see Litecoin finally getting some attention. Nevertheless, I would like to see this community come together in promoting this still undervalued crypto. Either it's here or on Twitter let's make #litecoin be the source of real facts and knowledge that could drive more and more rationally thinking investors or just people sick of having their money lose value in FIAT controlled by governments. Here I some really basic points/topics we should be trying to get out there to educate our fellow investors.
These are just some basic points I quickly put together but feel free to add more and spread the awareness. I won't say #litecoin to the moon, but rather #litecoin steadily to the place it deserves - which is on top among the best. Let's make that #litecoin trending with merit! [link] [comments]

The Case for Litecoin (Discussion) Posted: 13 Feb 2021 08:32 AM PST Sharing thoughts just to discuss and get other perspectives. TL;DR: LTC coexists with BTC peacefully because it's an integral part of BTC that actually has a central figure with no financial conflicts of interest Although most people outside of this sub seem to down litecoin because of this, the biggest case for litecoin is its tie to bitcoin. Imo if bitcoin does indeed become a true store of value, what's the quickest / cheapest way to transfer it? i see three options 1) Atomic Swaps from BTC to LTC (which may or may not necessarily be a taxable event?) 2) Going through an exchange (decentralized or otherwise) 3) going directly through bitcoin Of these options, #1 seems to make the most sense, particularly with smaller transactions. Litecoin also becomes the preferred path because it's quicker, more confidential (with MW) and cheaper. Of course there are other coins that have cheaper and quicker transactions, BUT back to the logic above - only litecoin has the same kind of direct access to bitcoin (wrapped variants are subject to network fees if i'm not mistaken - ie bitcoin being on ethereum still has gas fees and is more complex than btc to ltc). So given LTCs proximity to BTC, a developer team that has a willingness to continue working and improving the network + a figurehead in Charlie, i really do believe litecoin is just as inevitable as bitcoin. What are your thoughts + biggest concerns about ltc? [link] [comments]

Posted: 13 Feb 2021 11:19 AM PST How much of a difference do you think it makes that Litecoin's effective annual mining inflation is 4% while Bitcoins is under 2%? When people on Twitter such asPlan B say that the stock to flow model doesn't work on litecoin, isn't it at least partially effected by the fact that Litecoin still has a mismatch between the effect of inflation compared to market demand? Will stock to flow models work better (become more predictable) once the Litecoin mining inflation drops assuming overall crypto market demand continues to increase over the next 5 years? New person trying to understand the more technical side of Bitcoin and Litecoin, so thanks in advance? I'm starting to see why litecoin is to bitcoin like silver is to gold. Posted: 12 Feb 2021 03:43 PM PST Hey guys, Been a long-time hodler of litecoin since 2014. As the crypto space starts expanding, one thing I think is clear is that bitcoin really will become the "gold 2.0" and less of a quick-change currency, while inheriting all the hassles of "lugging" around physical gold (i.e. high fees). Litecoin, as I understand it, was made to be less scarce, but faster, or less fees...kind of like how silver counterparts to gold these days. What are your thoughts on this? [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Feb 2021 03:18 PM PST If anyone is interested in organizing a team to help spread awareness of the upcoming MimbleWimble and Paypal release I have created a discord server to help us. I have lots of free time right now due to my workplace being closed. I have decided to use some of that time to help spread the news about the upcoming mimblewimble/paypal release, and general info about LTC. I think a big part of our problem is the fact that lots of people think LTC is a dead project with no incoming updates. Sure, *we* know thats not true, and LTC has some very exciting news coming, but the general crypto community does not. We cant just sit back and think that when the Mimble Wimble release happens, everyone is going to know about it and hop into LTC. The only reason we know about it is because we hold LTC and are actively looking for updates like this. Its up to the LTC community to spread the news.... lets do it. If anyone is interested in helping with this project hop into the discord - [link] [comments] |
