    Please help me recover my LTC

    Hello,

    I somehow managed to sent my LTC to my BTC wallet which is Blockstream Green. I have the Mnemonic backup, wallet PIN and pretty much everything. My plan to recover my LTC was just to use electrum LTC, where I would create a new wallet with the private key from BTC adress, but the problem is that I can't find the right adress because I don't know the derivation path which Blockstream Green uses.

    I know there is recovery tool just for this wallet but I didn't know how to use it and if it would even help me. It is meant to help you recover your BTC on your BTC wallet... not LTC on your BTC wallet...

    I'm sorry if that doesnt make any sense, I'm new to this and I would like my LTC back.

    Is there any way how to get my LTC back or it is lost forever?

    Update: Thanks for all the help so far!!! *fingers crossed I may a bitcoin wallet there from being paid in bitcoin to mine LTC as part of a pool. Still trying to figure out how to verify the funds and if so, move it into a new wallet. Since bitcoin core is gonna be a few hours downloading files I'm going to go to bed and I guess we will see if there is any redemption tomorrow. :)*

    Background. In 2010 I lost a local BTC wallet with 30 Bitcoins. The HDD was lost in a fire and could not recover. That was my bad.

    In 2013 I decided to try a few months of litecoin mining after finally getting over the BTC loss. I mined about 10 litecoins .. I think... and this time saved a few back up files of the dat file. I decided I still wasn't over the BTC loss and foolishly stopped mining.

    Fast forward to today. BTC hit 33k and is all over the news reminding me of my lost early retirement. Oh ya.. I had some litecoins!

    I found the backup file. The first thing that stands out to me is it is encrypted (I DO have the passphrase), the second thing that stands out to me is the filename doesn't seem to match anything else I see online. I download the latest litecoin core and spent about 18 hours today trying load the wallet back up. I've tried just about everything... no matter what I have tried it shows a zero balance, it has zero history show up, when I try to unlock it via console it says "null". I've rescinded the block chain at least 20 times today.

    I'm losing my mind and I'm hoping anyone can help!!! I'm sure you get a million of these posts a day with people trying to recover stuff so thank you anyone for ANY assistance.

    Here are my main questions:

    1) "Wallet Data.Dat", does anyone know which client, wallet, or currency uses this specific file type?

    2) I faintly recall using a client that mined litecoins but maybe paid me in a different currency? Does this sound familiar to anyone from the 2013 time frame? Maybe its not a litecoin wallet?

    3) Could it be a compatability issue between an old back up file and the new Litecoin Core? Would the file work in maybe another app?

    4) Is it possible to have "zero transaction history" on a litecoin wallet that for sure had activity in the past?

    5) Everytime I try to "dump" the wallet it says "C:/Litecoin already exists remove the folder to continue? Am I using the console wrong?

    6) I can't seem to get Python 2.7 to run at all on windows 10? Is there an easier way to use Pyawallet? Or an alternative?

    Thank you in advance anyone willing to throw some thoughts my way! I know its a tail as old as time but losing that old BTC wallet was such a kick in the balls, losing this much smaller wallet for some reason stings even more cause this time I knew better. :(

    I was kicked out of the official Litecoin telegram channel after I verified with the capcha and it was successful. It took 1 minute and I was banned without a reason. Can someone unban me and tell me why I was banned?
