IF Ethereum is the most profitable to mine coin. Why do people mine other coins. Posted: 23 Jan 2021 04:01 AM PST As the title says. Is that because, one day that might become more profitable and they will earn more? Or what are the other reasons Also what is mining difficulty if the difficulty increase will my Gpu hash rate decrease? [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 Jan 2021 04:55 AM PST Eventually plan on switching to hive OS but at the minute I'm keeping to windows it's what I know and just want to keep it going for now. When I try to install AMD drivers with 8 GPUs it doesn't work, screen just goes black I have to turn pc on and off several times to boot into safe mode uninstall drivers and can't seem to get it working. I had it working before but I wouldn't have thought it be this difficult to do, as I think I had anywhere from 1-4 cards connected installed and then didn't work then when came to try fix next morning just worked fine now I can't get it going again. Any help? Using latest recommended drivers [link] [comments]

HiveOS issue with second graphics card not reading? Posted: 23 Jan 2021 06:38 AM PST Good morning everyone! I'm looking for a little bit of help determining what's going on with my newly minted (And first) rig. Currently, we've got 2 5600xt's powered, but HiveOS is only recognizing one of them. Does anyone have any ideas about what to do here? We have dealt with the possible issue that the secondary PSU is being powered on with a minor delay by plugging the 6 pin PCIe's from the first PSU directly into both risers, then juicing the graphics cards directly with the second PSU. This does not seem to have fixed the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you! Specs: HiveOS (Latest), GPU: ASUS ROG Strix 5600XT PSU: 2 Thermaltake 700W, no OC settings at this time. [link] [comments]
2x GPU Mining problem (Green/Black/Yellow Screen of Death) Posted: 23 Jan 2021 06:06 AM PST Hello everyone! I have Asus b450-f rog strix motherboard paired with ryzen 1600, 16gb of ram, MSI Gaming X rx 480 8GB and Sapphire Nitro+ Rx 570 8gb all that powered by Antec EarthWatts Gold Pro 750W. I am using newest version of Nanominer (3.15) and after 10 minutes of mining one of my two monitors starts to show green/yellow/black screen of death (monitor where error occurs is connected to MSI GPU). Take note that in event viewer it shows Kernel Power 41 error but I thought that my old 650w PSU was dying so I bought Antec one (it is brand new) and the problem still seems to be occurring. I used one click flash for both of my GPU's and I get around 57-58 MH/s. What is going on here? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]

My Rtx 2070 only mines ETH at 2500 kH/s instead of the 40 H/s it’s supposed to. Posted: 23 Jan 2021 02:45 AM PST Hello fellow miners. I'm pretty new to all this. My Rtx 2070 only makes around 2500 kH/s instead of the 40 H/s it's supposed to. This is really annoying. I have checked the bat file and made sure everything is in order and it's should be. I'm using trex for the record. Here's somethings i have suspision the problem may be caused of:
I've also thought about completely wiping and restarting my pc but i would rather not. Anybody know what to do? [link] [comments]
Looking for a Motherboard in Canada and am losto Posted: 22 Jan 2021 10:51 PM PST I have a couple 3070's. I want 6-8 cards eventually, but I have 2 for now and I'd like to start. I've seen affordable motherboards in stock recently, but I can't remember what one was recommended to me. I don't need anything fancy, just something I can upgrade in the future. I am looking for mobo/cpu suggestions. Also, at 130 watts each, I'm sure my 750 would be adequate for NOW, but what kind of power supply would I need for 6 or 8 of these? 1200 watt platinum? Or is that overkill? How many 3070's could I run on a 750 watt PSU? Could I run 4? Is there any disadvantage from having 2 750 watt PSU's? or would I be fine with my 750 for the first 4 cards? (not having to buy a new PSU now would be great. Does the mobo/cpu choice matter mining ethereum? Or should I get the same hashrate with a budget board than I would an expensive board? Is there a 'go-to' mobo out there? [link] [comments]
2X8 pin 3090 drops core freq while mining, 3X8 pin does not Posted: 22 Jan 2021 04:31 PM PST I've scoured the search feature and Google for an answer and can't find one. I have replicated this issue with multiple different cards and cannot figure out how to stop it from happening. Essentially, my hashing speed hits 115-120 MH/s when I start mining with my 2X8 pin 3090 and clock speeds are normal. After about two min, the core freq drops to about 900MHz and stays there, the mem freq maintains, and the temp drops from about 50 to 47. My hash rate subsequently drops to about 100MH/s. I have replicated this with multiple 2X8 pin 3090s with the same results and so have a couple of friends. My 3X8 pin evga does not behave this way and maintains all clocks, temps, and hashing speed. Tried using old drivers, flashing bios, locking freqs, cooling more aggressively, setting different power limits etc and no joy. Is this an issue anyone else had and has fixed? [link] [comments]

Looking for ideas on troubleshooting a rig Posted: 22 Jan 2021 07:30 PM PST Hey everyone, need help diagnosing odd issue.- Rig: The motherboard and 3 cards are on the first PowerSupply, the other 3 PS are shorted to start alone, each one feeding 3 risers and 3 cards The Issue: Any combination of 3 PS (The primary and 2 others), start correctly, The system POSTs, everything works great for days. If I attempt to start the system with 4 PS and 12 cards/12risers, it doesn't POSTs

Need Advice For Mining on My Old GPU Posted: 22 Jan 2021 09:06 PM PST Got a 750 Ti , <0.01 USD/unit electricity costs . I don't actually pay for electricity, though. How advisable will it be to mine ETH on it ? I appreciate your perspective even if it is that I shouldnt even try, just provide the reasoning/logic behind your opinion , as I'm new to all of this and would like to know why/why not I should mine ETH/some ther coin ! Posted: 22 Jan 2021 04:40 PM PST So I have a rx580 which is giving me a f headache. I removed this gpu from my office pc and brought it home to my gaming/mining pc. I have a 5700XT on it and works like a charm. Since I tried to plug both cards on the mobo the rx580 seems to stopped working. (Only works on windows safe mode). Tried it on another pc, it recognizes the gpu on the device manager but only in safe mode. Did I do something wrong? Tried ddu and it still shows no video when trying to install new drivers. Use 2x RTX 3070 to mine with Gaming Computer (3080FE) Posted: 22 Jan 2021 04:15 PM PST I am looking to mine with the 2 extra RTX 3070's . My motherboard has 2 PCIe 3.0 x16 & 3 PCIe 3.0 x1 I am unsure the best way to go about this. If i should put a 3070 in the x16 and a 3070 outside the case with a riser. Or both outside the case via risers? (Or a better idea lol) I'd like to not spend the extra to build a dedicated rig but am also not completely closed to the idea. Any help is appreciated. Posted: 22 Jan 2021 03:35 PM PST I've had a 1060 6GB rig running for 4 years. 6 cards total, 3 are MSI Armor and the other 3 are MSI Gaming X. The Armor cards have always run around 25mhs, but I've never been able to get the Gaming X cards over 20mhs. They're running at 950mv, +0 core clock, and +800 on the memory. Always stable. The Armor cards are stable at 925mv, +0 core clock, +700 memory clock. The only thing I can see is the Armor cards have Samsung or Micron memory, and the Gaming X have Hynix. Any ideas to get these Gaming X cards to hash what a 1060 should? [link] [comments] |
