Community contest grand prize is almost to $20,000 in ANATHA! Posted: 22 Jan 2021 08:01 AM PST For those who don't know what Project Anatha is, it's basically a DeFi ecosystem that gives everyone a UBI based on almost every transaction in the ecosystem. A single ANATHA token let's you even claim an "HRA" which is a Human-Readable-Address. Just thought you all might want to enter their community contest! (2nd place is about $12,000 of ANATHA, 3rd is about $6,000 of ANATHA) There's a wrapped version on Uniswap for those who want to trade too: https://www.dextools.io/app/uniswap/pair-explorer/0x85609c626b532ca8bea6c36be53afdcb15dd4a48 [link] [comments]

Why bitcoin price fell & what do you think about it? Posted: 22 Jan 2021 10:49 PM PST Bitcoin's unexpected 11% decline has led it to hit its ultimate lowest level for the past three weeks as of 21st Thursday. The community has speculated that Janet Yellen's unexpected comments, President Joe Biden's nominee for treasury secretary, may have contributed to the fall of the cryptocurrency. As she had alluded that lawmakers curtail the use of Bitcoin for its popularity in illegal transactions, However, of massive weight are the claims from BitMex Research that surfaced on Wednesday. The report propounded that Bitcoin had been hit by the "double-spend" flaw, which is a dreaded scenario in the cryptocurrency scene. The defect results in spending the same bitcoins twice. So, what do you guys say about this? [link] [comments]

Ergo and Cardano teams to explore key DeFi challenges at Ergo Summit Posted: 22 Jan 2021 11:29 AM PST The cross-organisation event held on Saturday, Jan. 23, will unveil new technologies developed in partnerships between the blockchain initiatives. 2020 proved two things: Decentralized finance is here to stay, and significant challenges still remain. While Ethereum remains the largest DeFi infrastructure platform, more recent projects have sought to address some of the first smart contract blockchain's shortcomings. Ergo Platform, a DeFi blockchain launched in 2019 by former Nxt and IOHK developer Alexander Chepurnoy, showcases an impressive set of new smart contract technologies built on the foundations of Bitcoin's UTXO model and proven track record of security. The team has collaborated with Cardano via a partnership with Emurgo, a leading blockchain company, to explore solutions that will further both platforms and the DeFi space as a whole. This weekend, the online Ergo Summit will feature speakers from across these organizations. They will discuss the fast-moving nature of the DeFi space, the challenges that still exist, and how Ergo and its partners aim to address them. Additionally, the team will unveil the design of a new stablecoin, AgeUSD, based on a model that brings the benefits of simplicity, security and full decentralization. "We're very excited to see what 2021 brings for DeFi," said Chepurnoy. "The summit will give a taste of what we have in store for Ergo over the coming months, with some amazing technical developments for the wider DeFi ecosystem." Hosted by long-standing Ergo community member Ollie, speakers for the event consist of:
Ergo and Emurgo have already released a number of ground-breaking developments, including Sigma Protocols — highly flexible, composable cryptographic signatures — and oracle pools, a new and sustainable way of feeding data to the blockchain from the outside world. Find out more at the online Ergo Summit 2021 on Jan. 23, 2021. [link] [comments] |
