Bitcoin and bitcoin cash: what's the difference?

    Posted: 19 Jan 2021 01:24 AM PST

Since the emergence of bitcoin, there has been a controversy around the expansion ability of bitcoin. The problem with blockchain technology in bitcoin networks is that it is very slow, especially compared with banks that handle credit card transactions. For example, visa, Inc. (V), a popular credit card company, processes nearly 150 million transactions a day, averaging about 1700 transactions per second.

How many transactions can bitcoin network process per second? Seven. The transaction may take a few minutes or more to process. With the growth of bitcoin user network, the waiting time becomes longer because there are more transactions to be processed, and the problem now is that the basic technology for processing these transactions cannot be changed.

The ongoing debate over bitcoin technology has been centered on this core issue, namely, expanding the scale and improving the speed of the transaction verification process. Developers and cryptocurrency miners have proposed two main solutions to this problem. The first involves making the amount of data to be verified in each block smaller to create faster and cheaper transactions, while the second involves making the data block larger so that more information can be processed at once. Under these solutions, bitcoin cash (BCH) was developed.

Is is just me or does BCH faucet not work?

I'm new to the community and I was trying out the faucet. I login in with my Google account and then enter my address but it doesn't seem to work. Is this just me or is it happening to others?

    Thanks!

    Crypto puzzle with BCH prize?

    Posted: 19 Jan 2021 10:39 AM PST

I've been considering creating a story based crypto puzzle similar to r/cryptopuzzler style (working with the author u/coinsntings) and whilst they've kept to small Doge prizes, I'm considering doing one for BCH with possibly a higher prize.

    Would this be well received?

It would be non technical word games in a story so anyone could give it a go. What do you guys think? As it stands I dont intend to go through with this unless you guys consider it an idea that may gain traction.

Noise.cash and read.cash have inspired me to try and create something that might be an opportunity for people to have a bit of fun with BCH. If you think this is a good/bad idea please say so and why! If it can be improved please let me know how!

    Mining Browser

    Hello Guys,

Recently i found this in web thebitcoinwin.com .
They offer a browser that basically contents an algorithm that mines altcoins.
The good thing is that the payout is in BTC.
I have tested it with 3 withdrawals ( the last withdrawal i did it to today so probably will be in my wallet tommorow it makes 12-24 hours ).
They dont ask even for 1 cent when you make the withdrawal which is very good/
I wanted to share this because really its the first free service i have found that really pay's out members requests.
Also they offer affiliate service where you ll take % from the invited persons mining.
