Replacing thermal paste, is it really need?

    Posted: 12 Dec 2020 04:32 PM PST

I mined for 3 years, temp is normal still.

Do we really need to change thermal paste after 2 or more years? My rules as long as its running good and temp is normal, i will not change it.

Hive OS - GPU Flashing Tool

    Posted: 13 Dec 2020 01:57 AM PST

I've just come across some weirdness with Hive OS. I'm going through flashing the BIOS on my 5700 XT Sapphire Pulses and when I downloaded the BIOS for my second card (I'm putting them in one at a time), and loaded it up with RedBios Editor it already had all of its timings set...

I'm flat out confused, so anyway I started up the rig and the second card (which I'd JUST plugged in) was running as if it was bios modded...

So is this like a feature of HiveOS I didn't know about? It applying uploaded BIOS mods to like cards?

If 6-pin and 8-pin both have 3x 12v wires, why is one rated 75w and another 150w?

    Posted: 12 Dec 2020 01:18 PM PST

Why would an additional 2 ground wires allow for double the wattage?
