    Enjoy your "depreciating asset"

    Posted: 04 Dec 2020 12:41 AM PST

"Great car OP, I'm really happy for you and all, but if you'd bought something else you could have made more money. May I recommend not buying a car in the future, but maybe a house instead or in fact maybe just keep hodling forever? That's how you maximize profit OP, buying that car was a financially unwise decision. But yeah really happy for you OP, big congrats"

Don't be that guy. OP isn't a fucking moron, he didn't make hundreds of thousands by being retarded, he obviously didn't buy an expensive car without realising it will lose resale value. You're not adding anything useful, you're not giving solid advice, you're just being really petty. Meanwhile you probably got a gaming rig and a laptop and an android phone all "depreciating in value" while you're sharing this bullshit advice.

Maybe this one time you bought a $20 pizza, but do you realise if you'd put those $20 into ETH when it was worth $5 you would have had over $2,500 now?! Have you been wiping your ass with 3-ply toilet paper? Yeah should have used your hand and put all those dollars into ETH. You've literally been wiping your ass with thousands of dollars! But yeah congrats, real happy you wiped your ass.

    Help, I'm addicted!

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 11:37 PM PST

    Hi,

I've just come to the realization that I'm addicted to cryptos. I open my binance app and spend 100 euros as if it was nothing. Even though it's far above my budget. Like we're not struggling with money but could spend that money on a better place. My wife complains about me "spending" money and I refer to it as investing. It doesn't matter to her. I have great vision that my hodling some day will result in us being able to buy something nice but maybe it's just a distant dream.

I spend all my free time watching staples, reading blogs and analyzing data. As to wether or not see if one of my HODLs will bring profit soon or not. I'm obsessed with the idea that my money could grow in a quicker pace than I could hope. With all this said, do you guys know any good shitcoins to dump another 100 into?

What is the point of Bitcoin?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 08:55 PM PST

From an investment viewpoint, I'm still struggling to understand why the value of BTC may rise.

The only way I can feasibly understand it is as an analogue to gold: a non-productive asset for storage and maintenance of wealth.

I've held BTC for almost 4 years and never really understood or seen examples of practical uses for it outside of esoteric explanations given by other Reddit users. Myself nor nobody I know has ever really used it for anything other than buying and holding.

It's obviously getting a lot of mainstream attention again but again, I'm failing to see it's potential application on a large scale, even by big companies and traditional institutions.

Can someone please make a case for it? I want to believe it will continue to grow but I need some good reasons why.

    What’s the best strategy?

    Posted: 03 Dec 2020 06:37 PM PST

I started trading this year with about $2400 to start with. I got in on LINK when it was sub $5, and soon had nearly $8k. I tried to make smart trades and before I knew it, I lost all my gains, now I'm sitting at $2200ish in my portfolio. I managed to LOSE money during this years bull run! Selling low and buying high! What do I do, HODL? Which coin? BTC and ETH are most dependable, but I missed their big runs so far.

Basically, what's your advise to a discouraged noob?

    Thanks In advance.
