Since everyone here is extremely bullish, a word of warning to the many newcomers. Be careful. Posted: 11 Nov 2020 04:05 AM PST Since there are a lot of new people here, many of whom are clearly new to the crypto space, a word of warning. Everywhere I look, on Reddit/Twitter/Youtube I see people are WAY too bullish, which is understandable given the recent pumps. But the market tends to do the opposite of what the majority expect, so it helps to remain sceptical and DYOR. We've been going up for many weeks now. If you zoom out to the weekly chart for a bit of perspective, you'll notice even in bull markets we tend to retest previous resistance turned support, and things like the 20 week moving average. In the past bull run we retested it multiple times. Corrections of 20-30% are to be EXPECTED. And we are now also testing an important Fibonnacci level from the 2017 high to the 2019 lows, so be careful and never invest more than you can afford to lose. Stick to spot and DCA. I've been in way too many of these hype cycles and got burned a few times myself. So keep your head on straight, don't get too excited, and don't believe everything people say. And remember how fast the sentiment in the crypto space can literally change from one day to the next. Stay safe and zoom out! x Weekly Chart: https://imgur.com/WLoOWpA Bitcoin fear and greed index has also been on Extreme Greed for a while now. Remember the saying "be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful". It could keep pumping to 20k for all we know, but just bear this in mind. I wish people had warned me during the 2017 bull run. Got burned hard. But everywhere I looked there was nothing but positivity. [link] [comments]

What saying or phrases do you keep in mind while trading? Posted: 11 Nov 2020 01:55 AM PST I know there's many, and we probably all know the same most common ones. But do you have any words of wisdom that you keep in mind while trading? For me, Peter Brandt said "money is made between the 30 yard lines". It's not about catching the absolute bottom, or selling at the peak. Just because a token has already gone up 10-15%, doesn't mean you can't still ride it up. Or if it's dropped 20% from peak and your still in profit, it's still profitable to sell rather than ride it all the way down. Any that have made a real impact on you? [link] [comments]
Just got hacked! Lost all ETH and WBTC and USDC and AAVE. Any suggestions? Posted: 10 Nov 2020 11:01 PM PST I faced an issue with one of the major project's staking mechanism. Posted the query on official telegram channel. Someone impersonating one of the admins by posting his profile pic and same name sent me a link to "Unlock Wallet". The URL looked legit, asked for the private key. It looked suspicious but IDK why I didnt doubt the guy since he "was admin" and maybe I was in a hurry that day but I shared the key. Today lost all ETH, staked WBTC, staked AAVE, staked USDC. I know I made a mistake, I used to tell people to be careful in last 2-3 years but still the dreadful day happened. So what I need right now is not "a lecture" but any possible suggestions. [link] [comments]
Found a full lectures of Prof. Gary Gensler on Bitcoin/blockchain technology(2018) Posted: 11 Nov 2020 12:45 AM PST After the news popped up, about Gary Gensler joining the financial team of Biden. https://www.coindesk.com/biden-confirms-gary-gensler-will-lead-financial-policy-transition-team I started digging around to see what I could find, found these lectures of about 1 hour each, 23 sessions(1 is missing). Haven't had time myself, but if anyone wants to dig around. Whether it is good information for development on blockchain technology or perhaps political ideas for a government issued coin, I don't know. But there is 23 hours of lectures here: [link] [comments]

I just got my first Moons, guess I’ll be holding them. Posted: 11 Nov 2020 12:19 AM PST Since every website that I could find required you to be older than 18 years old and I've got a couple years. There's not much that I know I can do with this other than hold it as my first ever Crypto, yay. Just find that a bit funny. Also, just checked. It's probably best that I just hodl. The moons don't sell for too much since too many people sold off really early. Since I got these moons for practically nothing, it won't hurt at all to hold them and see where it goes.
