    Posted: 03 Oct 2020 09:05 PM PDT

Thread topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Discussion related to recent events
    • Technical analysis, trading ideas & strategies
    • General questions about altcoins

    Thread guidelines:

    • Be excellent to each other.
    • All regular rules for this subreddit apply, except for number 2. This, and only this, thread is exempt from the requirement that all discussion must relate to bitcoin trading.
    • This is for high quality discussion of altcoins. All shilling or obvious pumping/dumping behavior will result in an immediate one day ban. This is your only warning.
    • No discussion about specific ICOs. Established coins only.

If you're not sure what kind of discussion belongs in this thread, here are some example posts. News, TA, and sentiment analysis are great, too.

    Tax Software

    Posted: 03 Oct 2020 02:20 PM PDT

Now that the IRS is tightening enforcement on crypto traders, I'm sure many people are struggling with tax compliance. Not least because the tax code is so complex and poorly designed for both cryptocurrency as well as traders. Compliance requires all kinds of vaguely defined requirements like the wash sale rule, functional currency adjustments, section 988 transactions, etc.

I'm curious to hear what the crypto trading community uses for tax software. What products have you tried? Are you happy with it? What do you see as the biggest gaps in the market? What features are missing in terms of an ideal product?

The reason I ask is because I'm an HFT trader, and had to write my own software just to file my taxes. I couldn't find any product to properly handle the millions of trades that needed to be reported to the IRS. I'm wondering if there's a market for others that need a solid crypto-trader oriented tax product.

    WHEN THE MARKET BECOMES INTRACTABLE
Especially in the short-term, anyone can make money in the market. However, beating the markets consistently and for the long-term is what most traders find difficult. While trading management and risk control tools are present for prudent traders to employ, they are not the ultimate secret: https://uk.advfn.com/newspaper/azeez-mustapha/56934/the-ultimate-secret-to-everlasting-success-in-the-markets
