The actual market price of BCH is $2300 right now, according to the Grayscale Bitcoin Cash Trust

See https://www.google.com/search?q=bchg+price which has been popping off lately.

Each share of BCHG represents 0.00937386 BCH, which means the current $21.5 price of BCHG means people are effectively buying BCH for $2293. Cool!

The curious case of Gregory Maxwell's "ban"

    Posted: 22 Oct 2020 06:03 AM PDT

Sometime last month there was a rumor that Gregory Maxwell was banned from /r/btc or at the very least censored or had his comments removed... or so Maxwell and the regular trolls would have you believe.

I myself was curious if Maxwell was banned so I started looking into the obvious starting points and the first place to check was the /r/btc moderation logs for any entries relating to /u/nullc. For those that aren't aware, unlike censored /r/Bitcoin, /r/btc has a public modlog and it's in the sidebar so you can question the mods and hold them accountable if they're censoring valid content. I'll link it here: https://rbtc.live/modlogs/?sub=btc

The other fact that we should put on the table is that recently and thankfully /r/btc finally added a subreddit rule to remove low effort trolls. The rule is as follows: If a reddit account has a net negative karma value for all subreddits put together and it's -15 or below, then you cannot post here. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/isoxkx/follow_up_on_rules_proposal/

\# Karma Requirement author: comment_karma: "< -15" action: remove action_reason: Removed, comment karma less than required. Please try again later. message: | Hello, your {{kind}} was removed due to your account having negative karma. In order to participate in /r/btc, users can not have less than -15 comment karma. Feel free to try again when your karma has improved and meets the minimum karma required. Thank you.

Putting this altogether.. /u/nullc was not banned by the moderators here and the -15 net karma rule doesn't apply to him because he has over 90K karma total. So why is Greg Maxwell claiming he's banned? Well thankfully /u/nullc contacted me and we had a chat. Full unedited chat from him: https://imgur.com/a/HGE3Q5p

According to Greg Maxwell his claims are:

    1. Automoderator actions don't show in the mod log.

    2. The reason we can't see entries is because /r/btc moderators undid the automod actions and those manual actions also don't show in the mod logs.

    3. Automod is set to hide all his posts.

    4. It targets people with net negative karma, based on just /r/btc net karma not total karma

Wow 4 different explanations why Maxwell claims he's banned. Let's go through them one by one shall we?

    1. 1st point is false, if you check in the /r/btc mod logs you'll clearly see the Automoderator is clearly shown in the /r/btc mod logs banning new accounts and ones that break the -15 net negative rule as well as accounts younger than 72 hours. So the 1st claim by Maxwell is verifiably FALSE.

    2. His second claim is that moderators undid the automoderators actions... yet there are no mod log entries for these manual approvals... He's basically claiming manual moderation too is not included in the mod logs. This claim is also FALSE.

    3. His third claim is that Automod is set to hide all his posts. If this were true then the mod logs would show those entries just like it does for regular users. See 1). This claim is therefore FALSE.

    4. His 4th claim is that he's banned from /r/btc because he's banned based of the net negative karma from that single subreddit, not total karma from all subreddits. Quick googling confirms Automoderator cannot act on karma on a per subreddit rule. The Reddit API simply doesn't support it. A user may view their own karma breakdown but you or a moderator cannot view another accounts karma breakdown per subreddit. Maxwell's 4th claim is also FALSE.

Here's proof proving Maxwell's 4th claim is false and that indeed this automoderator limitation exists. Thread from /r/automoderator where a user asks for the automoderator to just act on net karma from a single subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/AutoModerator/comments/ghu6h7/can_automoderator_check_subreddit_specific_karma/

Verdict: Maxwell gave 4 different excuses why he's claiming is banned, but none of these hold any weight. Maxwell is caught gaslighting users again. I'm shocked /s

edit1: Greg Maxwell knew that Automoderator actions are logged in the mod log 4 years ago:

    nullc

[-200] 2 points 4 years ago Wow. That is entirely different looking than when last loaded it. Indeed, I see the automod traffic in that-- sorry for my error.

On Local.Bitcoin.com why can't I search by LOCATION anymore?

    Posted: 22 Oct 2020 01:29 PM PDT

They took away the option to search by city state. Now the best I can do is filter by USA then sort "By State".

Why can't we just search by city on local.bitcoin.com?

Hi, I was wondering where and how is it possible to find high net worth BTC sellers in otc market? I'm interested less in exchanges that have OTC desks and more in matchmakers.

OTC subreddit is inactive so I thought you guys might have some idea.

    Thanks
