Many friends and family will be asking you about Bitcoin. Here's one of the best resources to share.

Consider advocating for Cash App (especially if you're a bitcoin maximalist)

    Posted: 22 Oct 2020 07:38 PM PDT

    The reasoning is this:

    1. Jack Dorsey, the owner of cash app is a bitcoin maximalist, and I genuinely believe that he acts with bitcoin's best interests at heart.
    2. Cash app only allows for buying and selling of bitcoin (and not altcoins)

The problem with other exchanges is that they don't act with bitcoin's best interest at heart. They allow altcoins to pay to be put on their exchanges, even low quality ones. This siphon funds from bitcoin and when they are exposed as scams and crashed, smears Bitcoin's reputation.

So why help these exchanges that don't act with our best interests at heart? We are providing them with fees and perhaps more importantly, liquidity, which is key to many large investors when choosing an exchange.

Consider advocate for cash app if you're bitcoin maximalist!

    Mom just FOMO’d

    Posted: 22 Oct 2020 10:19 AM PDT

Last week I was passing by the living room and guess what, she was out of the blue watching the documentary about BTC in Africa. I didn't say shit, so after she finished watching she just said "it's like a payment system".

Today she FOMO'd and bought some for the first time.

As another user posted here, let's keep the bears in their fucking cages.

    It's happening sooner than later.

EDIT: Guys, I ain't a newbie to BTC. Been here for years, athough with another profile. I'm teaching her the basics and she will just hold indefinetely as she does not need the money she put in and can afford to be wrong. In the short term of course we expect some kind of correction. In the long run, however, it is a win-win situation. Safe ride everyone!

[Prediction Market] Will BTC break $15k before 2021?

    Posted: 22 Oct 2020 11:13 AM PDT

Reminder for newbies: If you bought bitcoin on a website/app, you DONT own bitcoin. You own a "bitcoin IOU" that carries none of the benefits/freedom of Bitcoin. Your goal: Keep learning about Bitcoin until you understand how to take your bitcoin off the website/app and into a hardware wallet.
