Posted: 05 Sep 2020 04:13 PM PDT OK, this isn't as sexy as all the DeFi stuff currently going on at the moment, but bear with me :) Eth-ter-I-Die.rip produces instructions for your non-technical beneficiary to convert your Ethereum Tokens, from a variety of different DApps, to Ether and transfer that Ether to your beneficiaries local currency. Once completing your selection of DApps and services a .txt file is generated that allows you to edit, print and then hand write the private details required for your beneficiaries to access your address/ wallets. This document should be kept as safe as your seed phrase as it is a literal "how to guide" on accessing all of your Ethereum based assets. I couldn't find anything that would do this for my own needs so I created it and thought it may be useful for other folk too. I have never coded/ developed anything before... I have recorded the painful dev journey that can be found on the site! It's very much a work in progress but keen to have some feedback and let me know if there are any further applications. Here's the link again just in case you missed it :) -> eth-ter-i-die.rip Cheers! [link] [comments]
Ethereum 2.0 staking is much easier with the Ankr Network Posted: 05 Sep 2020 02:03 AM PDT Ankr has finished the implementation with this most recent version of the network and has now made the Ethereum 2.0 Medalla testnet Validator available in the Node Market. Medalla, the final testnet version before the long awaited Ethereum 2.0 mainnet, has exploded in traction with over 27,000 online validators and over 5000 more pending. The community is in broad support for the new upgrade, with 656,832 testnet ETH staked (75% of the available testnet ETH for Medalla). Ankr expects continued demand from users spinning up new nodes, and in this tutorial, we'll show you how you can start your Medalla node on Ankr in less than 10 minutes. Full article is in the link https://medium.com/ankr-network/ethereum-2-0-medalla-testnet-node-now-available-on-ankr-72195352c195 [link] [comments]
Help! Eth gone after liquidation Posted: 05 Sep 2020 12:13 PM PDT [RESOLVED]: Liquidation auction is apparently still ongoing. Thanks for your help! Hi all, I had borrowed around 3,500 DAI against 15 ETH (~ $5,500) in Oasis.app and unfortunately, my position got liquidated before I could pay back the debt. Now, I am left with only 1.05 Eth to claim after liquidation...! I understand there is a penalty involved but can someone tell me where the rest of my Eth went?? Thanks in advance! Edit: This is the contract: https://etherscan.io/address/0x047a356e37e7383018adce6699129a1009a75783 [link] [comments]
How do we move defi to layer 2? Posted: 05 Sep 2020 09:45 AM PDT Most of the heavy transactions bogging down the network are like Maker CDPs, Uniswap, Yield Farming Defi stuff right? Can we push any of this to layer 2 protocols? How do we get started? [link] [comments]

USDT transaction failed with Bad Instruction Posted: 05 Sep 2020 08:17 PM PDT Maybe someone in here can help me make sense of a transaction error. I've tried to send USDT Erc20 from metamask. The transaction was replaced and then failed with Bad Instruction 0x9575a8be3a7e0b826c55a74aef78425ebc2bbee80ddac7936091d64918730229 Now the USDT are not at the receiver or back in metamask. Where are they? [link] [comments]

how to withdraw directly from DEX contract? Posted: 05 Sep 2020 08:08 AM PDT Hi guys, the Bithumb DEX has been down for over 5 months now, and there seems to be no progress with a new/improved version. I still have some funds on it since the withdrawals didn't work the days prior to the service cancellation, but from my understanding it should be no problem to interact (i.e. withdraw my funds) from the underlying smart contract without using their website. However I am no programmer and thus not sure how to withdraw ETH and/or ERC20 tokens from the smart contract to my wallet. Can someone help me out with this issue? I'd really appreciate your help. Are there less powerful languages that can be used on zkrollups today? Posted: 05 Sep 2020 07:59 AM PDT I get that we're yet to be able to do general purpose computation on zk rollups, but are there weaker languages (which are still more useful than simple token swaps) that can be used as of today? I can totally imagine people being able to write specific purpose apps using weaker languages too, for instance for gambling (poker, blackjack etc). Gambling still requires random number generation, so maybe something even simpler but atleast it'll be scalable. [link] [comments]
What to do, have 80$ in some weird ERC-20 token and don't know how to withdraw. Posted: 05 Sep 2020 07:07 AM PDT So I have withdrawn ~80$ of "CHP" a poker coin into my MEW wallet. Right now, I have no ETH there and no way to convert the token into BTC or ETH. There is uniswap, but I need ETH, IE gas to send it. I Is there some way to swap this erc20 for ETH without paying gas fees? Some way to send gas fees using the token? Some way to sell a private wallet key with the token inside? [link] [comments]
Any nice open-source DAPP to contribute? Posted: 05 Sep 2020 07:22 AM PDT Hello, I have some months of learning ethereum. Is any good open-source dapp to contribute? Thank you [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Sep 2020 05:15 AM PDT Hi all, Sorry for the noob question. I was in Etherum a few years back and used Coinbase, I'm looking at buying back in but have noticed that Trading212 offer no transaction fee. Is there any difference between the two? Thanks [link] [comments]
