When the mempool empties, why don't miners mine the 0.999 sat/vB TXNs? Posted: 11 Sep 2020 08:38 PM PDT I realize that MOST nodes don't relay TXNs below 1 sat/vB, but obviously some do. So, if a miner has access to any TXN from 0.5 sat/vB to 0.9 sat/vB, why wouldn't they mine them when it is all that is left? Looking at https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#0,1w on Sept 8/9 the < 1 sat/vB band looks unchanged, even when the > 1 sat/vB band completely empties. I know miners are very focused on profits, so why leave this money on the table? Or perhaps that whole band is almost 99.999% TXNs set to 0.000 sat/vB. In that case the few TXNs set to 0.9 sat/vB wouldn't even register on the display. Thoughts? [link] [comments]
Multisig wallet that automatically returns funds Posted: 12 Sep 2020 02:36 AM PDT Is there a solution for a multisig wallet that automatically returns the funds the buyer put in, if the deal is off and the seller (the second party of the wallet) is dragging his feet to return the funds? Because it's the biggest drawback of a 2of2 multisig wallet, once the other party loses interest in the deal after the funds are already in escrow - and has no incentive to sign a transaction to return the funds. Is there an attack on testnet3 right now, my connection count just went ballistic. Posted: 11 Sep 2020 08:29 PM PDT I've been at about 20 connections (10 incoming) all week. Now my testnet connection count is jumping from 30 to 70 back to 30 by the millisecond. The connection count is literally a blur its changing so fast. Just me, or anyone else seeing this? What do you think is going on? [link] [comments]

What will happen if 1 Satoshi becomes worth more than $100? Posted: 12 Sep 2020 02:44 AM PDT Giant companies might buy most bitcoin and for average joe like us how will it make sense? It will be impossible for universal adoption if this happens. Can they change the code and make units smaller than 1 satoshi? And when machine learning advances, it might be too easy to bruteforce and find seeds of wallets in no time? This could be a dumb question. Will appreciate your thoughts [link] [comments]
