    1660 Ti EthHash Question

I have a 5x 1660 Ti rig that I built about a year (maybe a little longer) ago, and have primarily been mining Raven with it. Since RVN has hit an all time low, and ETH is quite high right now, I've made the switch to mining Ethereum.

I generally run my cards at 65% TDP with a +100/+500 overclock. Combined, this netted me about 140 MH/s @ 380 Watts. Since I'm new to the algo, I've been playing around with other over/under-clock settings, and have found that I can mine at that speed no matter what I set my TDP to.

    Ultimately, I've ended up at 100% TDP with a -100/+1000 overclock, but with a voltage limit of 626 mV. This makes each card run right at 30.9 MH/s @ 70 Watts. That's .44 MH/Watt (2.26 W/MH)!

Combining the flat performance curve at all TDPs and the crazy performance at very low power, I've been questioning the validity of what my management software is reporting, but I've been running this set up for about a week now, and my calculated hashrate on my pool matches or exceeds my reported hashrate.

Does this match up with anyone else's experience, or is there anyone else that can replicate these results? I've seen the benchmarks of 30.5 MH @ 75% TDP, but that's 15 Watts per card more than what I'm doing, and slower still.

TL;DR Has anyone else seen incredible performance on EthHash from the 1660 Ti (30.9 MH/s, -100/+1,000 with a voltage limit of 626 mV)?

Proof. Ignore the fan speed reporting errors.

Would you prefer 5 slow GPU'S or 1 fast GPU?

Assuming all things were equal (hashrate and power usage) Which would you prefer, and why?

All Rigs or one, randomly turn off without a reason... internet?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 09:24 PM PDT

Hi everyone so Im trying to solve a tricky issue with my rigs in my shed.
At least once a day, seemingly random my rigs will all stop mining but when i check on them in the shed they are all still showing internet connection lights on the Ethernet connection and so is the little 5 port tp-link switch. Checking the console and there are no error reports (Using Simple Miner) it just cuts off at a random point and I cant get it to remotely reboot through Simple Miner...
I thought it might be the heat of the Ethernet switch but even after cooling it drastically its still happening.
I have the fastest internet for my area Im really stumped here.
Afew days now ive had to watch my rig be offline all day while at work :(

Thanks for the help in advance!
    Cheers!

Can you remotely host a mining proxy?

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 03:09 PM PDT

I was wondering if I purchase hashing power is there anyway I can send the hashing power to a remotely hosted proxy? So it would look like this Hashing power == > remote proxy ====> mining pool

Would you have the same benefits as having the proxy on your server in the same location as your miners? Does it matter where the proxy is located?

    Ravencoin wallet update

    Posted: 17 Aug 2020 11:14 AM PDT

I'm a returning miner. Just need some clarifications before moving forward. I have about 20k of Ravencoin coins on my wallet. Of course the wallet is out of date. So to update to the latest wallet, I just download the latest wallet and run it, and everything should be fine (as in I won't loose the coins that I currently have)?

Anything special that I need to worry about? Do I need to back up any critical files?

    Thanks.
