Getting a 3 phase power supply into my garage, any tips on how to wire it up? Posted: 17 Feb 2020 12:15 PM PST So I am getting a 3 phase power supply with neutral (PME system), each phase is supposed to be able to provide 100 A but I believe this is the power to each single phase at any time and is rotated across each phase (so it is not a total supply of 300 A). I have not much else running off this except for lights, some electric radiators (6) and an electric shower (10.5 kw). Any tips on wiring these? I would assume run some circuits off a phase and keep a phase or two dedicated for mining? (P.S. i do not have any miners yet so unsure of how many sockets and circuits to keep but I want to plan for atleast 10-20 GPU's in the future). I also want to have an isolator switch installed just after the electricity meter and before the consumer unit / distribution box / main fuse. What should I get (3 pole, 4 pole ?) and how many Amps's (would it be 100A)? Appreciate some knowledge so I can have a discussion with my electrician, this is because my electrician just wanted to something simple like use a 3 phase to 1 phase convertor kit on the consumer unit so unless I can give him some knowledge and requirements he will not be able to help me plan it. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
